Off topic from the caravan, but yeah completely agree. Trump said he was going to drain the swamp but ended up putting swamp creatures in office. Such as Scott pruitt and benn Carson.

A lot of people on here seem to think that democrats are all evil satanists and no republicans have corrupt agendas. Much like that pipe bomber. Folks are guzzling this kool aid that alt-right and Q followers spew.

Most Americans do not want to see troops on the border. Most Americans are not quivering cowards who believe every fairy tale that is told.
He lies about who these people are and what their intentions are and he lies saying they are coming for free health care and free welfare and free educations and to vote for democrats. But he knows what buttons to push to get people riled up and he just doesnt care that every word he utters is a blatant lie and easily proved. He thinks you guys are stupid.

The Posse Comitatus Act, which passed after the Civil War to keep federal troops from policing the South, limits federal troops' deployment on U.S. soil and forbids using them to enforce domestic laws. The President can deploy troops if there's an insurrection or invasion on U.S. soil.

I'm surprised more people have not brought up Posse Comitatus in this discussion. I agree with you in that I don't believe it limits our response in this matter. Still, it will be a factor in all the lawsuits and inevitable court injunction we are guaranteed to see. Like the "Moslem ban", Trump's action will be upheld in some form but after these caravans are already come and gone.

My solution is more radical but ultimately practical and avoids this Posse Comitatus problem altogether. Much of the border is fenced already. This fence is ineffective but it must be built on a government controlled strip of land. It is absolutely not illegal to have US military on a base. There are bases all over the country now.

Trump should declare all federal land along the Mexican border to be a military base. This would give him absolute freedom to fortify it however he wants. It might also clear the way to using Pentagon funds to build the wall.

There is just no more room.

Citizens are feeling the effects of overpopulation, lack of jobs, lack of resources, lack of room for students.

For hundreds of years the school buildings by me were sufficient space for the population.

Within the last year there is no more room , the schools needed to bring in trailer parks outfitted as classroom and park them on the football fields.

Why, because there was no steady stream of immigrants, but a reckless liberal amount.

By me, ms13 has raised the homicide statistics to never seen numbers.

The good ones, just take American jobs, avoid income tax.

We need to organize before we let another liberal amount in.

If Americans did not have to spend so much in deportation, translation, food stamps, and jailing illegal aliens.

They would have had free health care for its citizens by now, better infrastructure. Better education. Better science.

Americans progress has been completely stalled.

50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and, 90s , then 2000 on booom.. a complete mess

Ok, so does that mean armed forces are going to be at the west coast or the east coast? After all China is starting to get hostile, and facing east there is the threat of those from there. After all they are thousands of miles away and no where near or close to the US, but hey they could come here, a few are and probably are in the US right now.

If a convoy of people were heading across the open waters, I would expect the government to abide by international laws and not go through and jump the gun on such, or violate the laws or promote fear.

Anchor about 15 miles off the coast, and the US can do nothing. Territorial waters only extends a good 12 nautical miles from the coast, about 13.8 miles, and can move freely, and there is nothing the US can do. So that means, say China, can have a destroyer or a destroyer group move and operate in the gulf of Mexico and there is nothing that the US military can do, save watch, as long as they remain 12.1 nautical miles away from the shore.

The polices of the US past is a good example of the problems that are being seen. And Haiti, is a prime example, of that. for years the US would turn away refugees, from countries in the Caribbean island countries. Even the US had a policy when it came to the Cubans, that if it was over the water, they were turned back to Cuba, but the long standing policy was if they touched US Soil, they were granted immediate acceptance, as a political refugee. And the Haitian's see this and want the same thing, as it is a dictatorship in that nation, and it is causing strife, even when there are coup's that are going on.

So the balance was that there would be temporary refugee status when it comes to some nations, yet the question that is being raised, is why is it only temporary for some and permanent for others?

I remember Jade Helm, just 3 years ago, when this website was flipping out over a President ordering troops to Texas for the purpose of rounding up people and throwing them into camps.
