Bro country did a number...drug Nashville through the mud. It's Max Martin sterile, country flavored, pop music.

Good song but I liked Junior’s dad better and his dad more.

I’m surprised nobody has played a country boy can survive .

But this is my favorite David Allan Coe song . ( can’t believe I screwed that up the first time )

I actually have grown to like it. But if you'd asked me ten years ago I would have rolled my eyes. Tastes change and there's nothing really wrong with that.

What do you get when you play a country song backwards?

You get: Your house back, your job back, your wife back, your kids back, and most importantly you get your dog back.

Country has to much twang for my taste.
The occasional song is fine but overall I can't stand country music.

Y'all forgot the ladies of country.
The HUUUUUGE hair, the amazing dresses!
Loretta Lynne, Tammy Wynette, Jesse Colter, Dolly Parton, Minnie Pearl ( yes she counts!) Kitty Wells.

I've always thought Junior Brown was country, but I could be mistaken?

Preach!

While everyone was flipping their stuff for the Beatles, Jackson 5 and all those of that era, I was waiting for Saturday nights when if it was clear out I could get the Grand Ole Opry on my transistor radio.

Had to be stealthy cause my folks were into classical music, having a kid go all "pedestrian" on them was sheer anarchy.
Heh heh heh

Many years ago I dated a lady who only listened to country music... at first it really wore on me, it just wasn't my kind of stuff. However, after several days of being inundated with it non-stop, I began to enjoy a couple of songs- and didn't mind when that's what was playing in a Reno/Vegas casino.

Isn't Johnny Cash considered Punk Rock?

If John Denver counts I can be a fan of Country.

But for me it is Pink Floyd , Beatles, Tom Petty , ZZTop, Stevie Ray, Chuck Berry and baby Elvis.

I didn't like Taylor Swift before she choked on the Dem lies and I sure won't be sending any money her way if any of my family wants an album of hers.
