Manchin says he will vote for Kavanaugh

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.), who is up for reelection in a state President Trump won by 42 points, said Friday he will back the president's second nominee to the Supreme Court, Brett Kavanaugh.

Manchin was one of three Senate Democrats who voted last year for Neil Gorsuch, Trump’s first nominee to the court.

The West Virginia senator announced his position shortly after Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) said on the Senate floor that she would support Kavanaugh.

So I was right. My rumor was good.

Flake, Murkowski, Collins, and Manchin. Three yes to cover one no.

Falke and Collins don't want to stick their neck out unless it's sure. Manchin is in a deep red state. This helps him. Murkowski barely got elected and never got elected with a majority. The Alaskan Native tribes do not like Kavanaugh. Knowing the other three will vote yes to cover her no makes sure the party still gets what it wants.

Looks like it's all over but the crying now. That part will take some time.

Barring something extreme between now and tomorrow, Appellate Judge Brett Kavanaugh will become Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh!

Next step: Ruth Bader Ginsberg. After this fiasco, I'm comfortable with liberal tears flowing.

I never thought I'd see the day when Susan Collins stepped up to the plate as the voice of sanity, logic and reason in the United States Senate. I must admit, I'm impressed.

Hopefully this will be enough to bring Murkowski back in line and to keep Flake there.

Yes. I appreciate being shown that he is a person and that he is standing up for the rule of law.

I like how she is throwing Feinstein and dems under the bus for their treatment of Ford...

I'm going to listen to CNN and MSNBC right afterwards to see how long they can resist returning to their hate and anger.

MSNBC is humorous

That is what happens when they rely upon "blind belief" in things that meet their personal or political narrative. I truly wish more of these "believers" understood the concept of confirmation bias.

She really made me realize that a fine Supreme Court justice nominee was almost destroyed, by nothing more than a rumor.

That is their plan if they win in November. Impeach Trump and Kavanaugh.
