Are you kidding? I'm not even sure when this thing starts.

If she doesn't show, that will be a slam dunk for Kavanaugh. I did hear earlier that Swetnick's statement will be read as well... I hope there is some kind of countering information as well, since it's hard to cross-examine a declaration.

Now let's hope Kavanaugh gets through this one, one way or the other, although I have a strong suspicion this is so much smoke and mirrors because not much besides words to make me think otherwise.

all reports are claiming she will be there. I will not be convinced until she comes in on camera and takes a seat.

also, just heard on Fox that the Dems are actually going to use the Avenatti claims in this hearing. What A Disgrace they are.

As for Swetnick, she is refusing to face the Judiciary Committee, but she's scheduled for a television interview with Showtime's "The Circus" on Sunday. That's not a joke either, regardless of how appropriate the name of the show is.

Two victims will be interrogated not in a search for truth, innocence or guilt but for partisan political advantage.

Wouldn't miss it for anything.

It doesn't get better or worse than this. In the end people might learn something more than they're expecting.

I'll say this a third time. I'm still betting that Ford shows up but ends up having an anxiety attack that will throw the whole hearing into delay and chaos.

This will turn out bad for the GOP.
Not because she will say anything worthwhile but because the gop will be portrayed as bullies for asking a "victim" tough questions.

I think in the end, this will come down to a balancing act. The Democrats don't want Kavanaugh on the bench, so they are trying to delay and obfuscate until after the midterms when they hope to have a Senate majority. On the other hand, these tactics are becoming quite transparent IMO, and I believe there are a lot of voters out there who are thinking the same way.

So if they're not careful, all the delays and wild accusations may be enough to tip the Senate back out of the Democrats' hands (assuming it's still tipped toward them in the first place).

yep. I could see that happening if the questioning does not go as she expects......

That sounds like a good possibility. Then the Dems will make her into even more of a victim - "look what those mean Republicans are doing to her".

There was a rumor that her attorney hired an actor. If true, maybe they wanted someone to coach Ford on some acting skills.

I am betting that IF she does show, the GOP members will use the attorney for most of their questions....optics are better with that tactic and she can get straight to the point.

I think the Dems will use it as a opportunity to give a speech and make accusations without giving Kav time to answer.

I still dont think she will show though. I will be really surprised if she does.

I dont think the Dems should be allowed to bring up the other accusers statement unless she is there, but I have no doubt that they will.

Sounds like dems will bring up the gang rape allegations.

That is their right I guess.

But I think that those allegations are highly unlikely to be true.

I outlined many reasons why, and no one who wants to believe her has had any response.

If there is not more meat that comes out about those allegations, the dems using them could be a huge mistake as I think many reaosnable people will see how unbelievable these claims are.

I was at work the other day, and 2 of my liberal women co workers were talking about this. their main complaint about this was that it was 36 years ago. they give the charge zero credibility......and they are pretty liberal about a lot of issues.

Oh...I also believe the GOP has something on Ford that will show without doubt that she is lying. They are calling the Dems out in every way possible. I think they have something that is air tight.

the Republicans wont be directly questioning her I thought? they questions are coming from a sexual abuse specialist prosecutor who is a woman....her name escapes me now
