You apparently did not read my earlier post where I had my 285 pound husband in a knee lock nearing the point of passing out. This post you are responding to was me simply saying I would do the same but much much worse to an actual attacker!

I'm not going to get political with this post, I gave examples that are in the news. We don't know if they are indeed true or not, because we weren't there. We do know rape does happen, and I personally believe at a much higher rate than any of us want to admit.

Like others said, there is plenty of threads about Kavanough you can go troll all you want, dont ruin this thread with youre political stuff that has nothing to do with the OP

Don't take strange drinks from strangers. Watch your drinks. Don't take any weird pills. Don't leave
your drinks out in the open while you go and do something else and come back to drink it.
I really focused on girls in my OP, but the sad fact is that boys can and do get raped too. I just feel like as far as physical stature, many guys can at least defend themselves.

A metric f***-ton of victim blaming in this.

'Boys will be boys and will rape girls anyway.'

WTF. Seriously? How about we teach men and women not to rape? Teach them about consent when they get their sex education. Oh wait, we only want to teach abstinence so that kids can just blindly fall into sex and be ashamed of themselves.

I actually have discussed this with my daughters, sharing my own experience. I was on date already drinking at bar then headed to a concert when the guy said he had to go to bathroom and how fortunate his condo was nearby! He ended up showing me his condo and while I went to the bathroom too, he turned on the music and brought two glasses of wine over to the coffee table encouraging me to relax on the couch. Instantly, my intuition said OH F!!ck!

I told him I didn't like the song on his stereo and when he turned away to change it, I swapped our glasses. He began sipping and encouraged me to join him. I did. He began sweating and looking ill. He ran for the bathroom and was vomiting! When he came back out he outrageously accused me of trying to drug him! That's when I realized he really did try to drug me and this was serious!

I was driven there by him and foolishly didn't pay attention to where the hell we were. I locked myself into his guest room and called and spoke to family and friends all night. He was more amiable the next day especially seeing I have been communicating with many others. He drove me home in silence.

I was lucky that night...it really could have been a deadly mistake. In reporting it, there was no real evidence. He did get harassed by law enforcement but not much else. For me, it was a lesson learned and I share it not only with my daughters but family and friends.

Being observant and acting accordingly is always better than waiting to you get to a defense stage physically.
