I could see the same type of things happen with an investigation against Kavanaugh. They wont so much as look for evidence of this claim, but use the claim to possibly open up other avenues for other charges, like not paying a parking ticket in college or something. All one has to do is look at Mueller and how far afield his investigation has gone, and remember it was initially started with limited scope on Russian meddling in the election for Trump.

It's not about doing things by process.

This is about revolution. They thought they finally had power permanently in their grasp, and they let the mask slip to show who they really were behind the levers of power.

Now they can't go back because they lose their radical base.

I'm afraid this is going to get even more ugly before it gets better.

to my sensibility, this smear campaign against a SCOTUS candidate is a replay of the smear campaign launched against candidate Trump for POTUS

the democrat elites had the 'letter' that leveled an accusation against Judge Kavanaugh months before the final phases of conducting a 'vote for confirmation' but the grandstander Democrat decided to withhold the scandalous allegation of the republican & conservative nominee to the SCOTUS until the 11th hour to throw a monkey wrench into the process & not because an 11th hour accusation would lead to-the-Truth about Kavanaugh

It is amazing how close they came. That is probably a lot of the reason for so many of them not being able to accept it.....they thought they had it not just for this past election, but power for the forseeable future. we would have gotten more fundamental transformation (maybe more than we would have been able to recover from). so glad they were wrong.....

they pick all the wrong fights, their leadership is bad this is not what can represent me in the halls of power

I once wrote a satirical bit about Hillary Clinton.

In it, I stated that since there was no evidence of her being behind all the convenient political assassinations, it was clear evidence that she was an expert at cover-up and that she was behind it.

It was satire.


Now we have an entire ideology claiming that since there is no evidence of Kavanaugh raping Ford, it is obvious that he did because they all covered it up.

The dem voters believe that trump is bad for america and that his stolen scotus pick will be VERY bad for our freedoms.

Which seems childishly crazy since Kavanaugh actually does agree with Garland on many issues! He actually does seem to be a perfect choice if one pushes aside their political biases. I imagine most don't realize how upset the minority Senate Committee were to find that he was not some ravenous Republican.

I am upset with Feinstein withholding this allegation until the last hail Mary. When Biden discovered Anita Hill's allegation, he immediately submitted it to the white house so that it could be properly investigated. Apparently, Feinstein did not wish for this to be investigated properly nor privately. Thus the circus we have today.

Though as far as on topic goes...by stating this, it leads me to believe that they have no confidence in Ford's claims either and are focusing on their next plan of action.

Impeachment of SC Kavanaugh is a pipe dream unless the Dems take both houses - even then it will be a race between how fast they can bring impeachment proceedings versus how fast they can be locked up for sedition and treason. If Kavanaugh really is the "tipping point" for SCOTUS support for military tribunals, it game over once he is seated.

I'm not seeing this as a real possibility. Maybe if they could have the elections today - but the Dems still have five or six weeks to make fools of themselves in the news. Besides, I'm not too sure that SCOTUS shenanigans has much to do with elections and results other than news/propaganda smear value.
