Three reasons. One, they don't want to hand the Dems a campaign issue by denying her a chance to speak. Second, the GOP doesn't believe she's actually going to show up tomorrow. Third, they believe that even if she does show up, they will be able to pick apart her story.

I also happen to think that, given how forcefully they've been defending Kavanaugh this week, the GOP knows more than they're letting on. I think they've got an ace up their sleeve.

Notes just released from the Senate Judiciary Committee that say the committee interviewed a man who submitted a statement that he believes that he, and not Kavanaugh, is the man that Ford remembers from the incident.
No corroboration yet of that, just the report from Fox News that said the committee had interviewed this man not once but twice.
