I’m a huge fan of Rogans podcast. He has the ability to bring in a huge array of some of the most interesting and intelligent people. His topics of discussion are almost always captivating to watch or listen too.

Late Last night, Elon Musk made a bit of a surprise appearance on Joe’s podcast. They talked for 2 1/2 hours and I encourage anyone interested to watch or listen.

A few cliff notes:

-Musk doesn’t have much of a personality. But he loosens up as it goes on.

-His views on artificial intelligence are kind of terrifying.

-Some May hate it, but I loved it when he smokes a blunt with Joe.

-Musk is obviously brilliant, and way ahead of the curve compared to most of the population. But you can tell that he relies on his employed engineers for quite a bit of his projects.

-His visions for Tesla are a lot more grounded than I thought, and he’s very much in touch with the car company. But it’s still neat to hear him talk about it.

Watch it for yourselves....awesome to hear him talk in his format.

Glad to hear he opens up. I listened to it for about 10 minutes on the way to work this morning.... He might be an alien, or a robot, probably the latter, giving credence to his claim of AI taking over.

I've seen a stir of news going on about him smoking on the podcast, just shows the hypocrisy in our society.

"OMG he smoked WEED on a podcast?!?!?!"

Most of our adult population drinks, an alarming amount of parents allow their kids to be put on salt amphetamines because they "can't focus", no s###, they're kids, what's new?

The dude is a billionaire, if he wants to smoke a spliff, let the man have some peace.

Oh man... Well, I know what I am watching when I get home tonight!

I am a massive fan of Mr Rogan's podcast (not everything he says mind, but the way he approaches things? Absolutely), and that he had Mr Musk on the Joe Rogan Experience is just fantastic for him, and for the listeners/viewers out there on YouTube. I am REALLY looking forward to this.

As for Mr Musk smoking a joint? What of it? He is a smart man, with weight on his shoulders, a business to run, and a brain that operates at a break neck pace. Good for him, not letting perceptions interfere with his decision making.

Yeah, the hypocrisy by the drinkers who are anti-marijuana drives me insane. Especially the old fashioned bible belters who praise Jesus and tolerate alcohol but consider weed to be worse. I try to educate them on the perils of alcohol vs the benefits of marijuana....I'm certain they pray for my soul because of it. lol

Really cool seeing Elon Musk take a hit with Joe!

Well, in all fairness to Mr. Musk....it doesn't look like he actually inhaled it. But to the point, he wasn't afraid of it. He wasn't opposed to it. Maybe he in inhaled a little, who knows. But...pretty cool nonetheless.

Elon is indeed someone most people would not be able to carry on any meaningful conversation with. His thinking and mind resides in rarified air compared to most of us.

One must be of a similar IQ level to understand and communicate in a comfortable fashion. Beyond that he is out of his element. Rather, the world is out of 'His' element. My Brother worked for him up until a month ago, and was of a similar IQ level 135, and their conversations went well, along with interests, Many traits were similar as well. My brother is 15 years my junior, and it is safe to say, very few people understand him beyond myself.

Off hand it seems an upside world they live in, but by our understanding only. I have acquired that ability, but there are times I am taxed to follow the rhyme or reason. But be assured there is one. Complex ideas unfold in their minds like imaginary blue prints with a clarity second nature to them. Savants as it were.

What Elon could give the world has been the object of attack for some time now, and it's sad. Like silencing Benjamin Franklin or Einstein.
Imagine one person able to take the world to the next Epoch............ but for the sake of the greedy, being obstructed at every turn.

Precisely, he is a welcoming and curious host. He isn't like many people these days who feel attacked when someone has ideas that are different than his own. I've also heard him change his mind on topics, something very humble and rare these days.

You don't have to like everything he says to recognize he has good intentions and a good heart.

Eh, plenty of super intelligent people are very approachable and open to conversations with a wide spectrum of intelligent men and women.

If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough.

He was smoking for medicinal purposes only right?
Ha

The guys a dreamer, which is what I respect about him.
But I think he has no clue how to fulfill most of those dreams.

He was very smart and calculated in just about every response to a question or statement he provided. Often times, there was a long, borderline uncomfortable pause after a question was asked. Which, to be honest, I wish more people would do when speaking their mind. It’s like he’s trying to sort through terabytes of data to find the perfect answer.

I always imagine the greatest minds to be the most awkward people. You have to be outside the box to think outside the box like a true visionary or innovator.

That’s pretty interesting that your brother worked with him. Did he actually work side by side with him? Or was he an engineer/consultant type of one of his companies?

Innovators and mavericks have to wing it, not like there is an example they can follow. I'll root for a dreamer who's only guiding light is their dream willing to take risks over someone who plays it safe because they're afraid of failure.

I joke about Elon being a robot, but this (very quick) interview clip sheds light onto how important these things are for him.

He operated some of the more complex machines at the Battery plant in Fernley NV. Not 'with' him, but rather 'for' him. My knowledge is somewhat veiled though due to his non-disclosure agreements. Those 'pauses' are what I mean...... reflective moments, It's sometimes
difficult to dredge up vocabulary in just common conversation. But you noticed it too.

Yeah, nothing boosts confidence among investors like having the head of the company smoking weed in front of cameras on a live public broadcast.

Yes, but..... here that's not quite apt or ......... One could say, us mere mortals are a nuisance, a useful nuisance.

Their focus is often times perplexing.

That project intrigues the heck out of me. It came up with a little discussion, but he didn’t want to talk to much about it. It’s like he’s on the verge of creating something that will turn us into a hive mentality.

He said they are just a few months from making a major announcement, so it’ll be interesting to see what that announcement is!
