I am quite concerned with your staying there. I will be leaving soon and gone for hours, so now I won't have updates for quite some time and will be worried.

Don't worry. Reasonable now. Things have settled. As I said, there is a nice glow out the back door. Will see what transpires at first light in about 5 hours time.

G'day sir Jin. Nice and settled here at 8.30am. Smoke and flames picking up again but to my west and north. Chilly night helped and the wind is expected to be quieter today.

Haven't seen any aeroplanes but can hear some over the other side of the hills now and then.

Fed the animals but heard a large tree crash further up the hills while doing so. Funny, we all stopped for a sec and looked in that direction. Not often my canabal animals stop eating.

Not that badass type mate. Just want to stay and do my best to protect the house and sheds. I have a plan for the worse. Couple of dams nearby to jump in if needs be.

Your thoughts are appreciated.

Good on you mate. hopefully the fire stays away but feeling for the property owners over the fence to the north. Lot of thick bush and undergrowth that way.

Hi dude. Critters are okay. Have a fire hose connected to the dam pump to hose down the pens if it comes to that. Leastways I'll set them out if I feel the need to. True love (wife for life) and I have spent seasons burning off around our selection near the house and sheds. Not much burnable there but the short grass is brown and crispy from lack of rain. Those areas are pretty easy to put out.


True love is away for work again but hopefully can return this evening if the road remains open.

It's flying embers that I keep an eye out for. Thankfully from my perspective they are going to the east. Not so good for others. My house is timber but I have set up a firehose that pretty well covers the whole dwelling.

Your comments and thoughts are uplifting. Glad you asked about the 'critters'.

Thank you kindly. I'm finding out that I may be in a better position than others.

I'm not stressing and probably won't. Some neighbours are. Had a phone call saying we should get out while we can. Can't imagine leaving the animals. Here with my son. (gave him a day off from school) He's cool. Got essentials ready and he will take them to safety if needs be.

Stayed safe, thank you. I'm old, seen some stuff but this is up there with amazing sights.

7.30pm here, now dark. To my west is, all I can describe like a cauldron. 270 degrsss around my property is smoke and patches of red.

House locked up/closed. plenty of smoke.
