I prefer octopodes, but yours is more accessible.

Technically speaking, calamari would be the plural and are only very distant cousins of octopodes.

Not sure that's right, 'podes' is the second-person singular present indicative form of 'podar' which means "to cleanse"?

If you were trying for a pluralization of 'pod', or "foot", it would be inappropriate because they don't have any.

Can we get back on topic please and stop all this nonsense with sea dwelling creatures, you are derailing the thread and that is against the rules. Stop replying to trolls and shills guys because you're feeding them, ignore them and they'll go away or they'll just blindly reply to people looking for a bite and further derailing the thread.

Some of those astronomical data includes observations of meteorite impacts which are useable today.

Interesting.
Examples?

The base 60 system allowed day-to-day use of mathematics without having to use fractions or irrational numbers.
They were counting things. There is no need for irrational numbers or fractions if you're counting things.

"One! One thing!"
"Two! Two things!"

There's this tablet. It's definitely an astronomical observation. Though there's some dispute over whether it describes a meteorite impact in Austria, but the trajectory lines up:

Didn't know that. My thinking was that system came with the ability to script write in conjunction with ancient texts on papyrus, clothe and later forms of paper.

Thanks for the insight.

Kind regards,

bally

The usual format was to attribute the tablet to the author (say a name, status and perhaps a location/associated event to frame a date period - say the king or war under which the account was written). Then on the next tablet usually the first line was a repetition or condensation of the last part of the previous tablet and similarly attributed. In this way, the reading order of similar tablets could be ascertained.

The article refers to an Assyrian tablet written 1,200 years after the fall of the Sumerian civilization.

When it comes to certain (astronauts) theories, there’s always someone with a better one. The trouble is, many hystoric texts speak in metaphores or use a language that is open to false interpretation. Sometimes a theory sounds so plausible, that one tends to willfuly overlook the parts that contradict or refute said theory.

Sometimes I just say:

Arthur do you believe in aliens that I say yeah have you ever seen one I say yeah I have well how have you seen him well I said I look in the mirror every morning that's what we are we are the aliens but we just we just think we're saying we just think there's somebody else but we're the ones who came from somewhere else because because somebody else had to survive and they got in a little spacecraft then he came here and they landed and they started civilization here that's where I believe if you if you don't believe me go go go get books on the ancient Sumerians and

'Ancient aliens' Still the joke at the end of the news item.Still the same immature reaction. Nothing changed. Basically the idea that aliens exist is just entertainment.

I don't think that humanity is capable to understand it's own history.
If it's about all about survival , humanity already lost their marble.

Sitchin as you rightly suggest is disinformation and was promoted for the very reason of shutting down any serious discussion but there are anomalous aspects in Sumerian literature with regards to artificial insemination and Divine seed from the Heavens, which Sitchin failed to mention.

It is also the case that Enki was understood to have arrived on a ship, the Stag of the Abzu in conjunction with his vizier Ismud and his helmsman Captain Sir-sir or "slither"

The lord, the great ruler of the Abzu issues instructions on board the 'Stag of the Abzu' -- the great emblem erected in the Abzu, providing protection, its shade extending over the whole land and refreshing the people, the principal foundation , the pole planted in the ...... marsh, rising high over all the foreign lands. The noble captain of the lands, the son of Enlil, holds in his hand the sacred punt-pole, a mes tree ornamented in the Abzu which received the supreme powers in Eridug, the holy place, the most esteemed place. The hero proudly lifts his head towards the Abzu.

Sirsir ......, the boatman of the barge, ...... the boat for the lord. Nijir-sig, the captain of the barge, holds the holy sceptre for the lord. The fifty lahama deities of the subterranean waters speak affectionately to him. The stroke-callers, like heavenly gamgam birds

Enki and the World Order

The oarsmen of that ship the lahama relate to stars and constellations of the Celestial waters, the movement of their oars through such as the movement of the wings of birds, poetic language, so a Heavenly boat and in the myth were Inanna steals it from Enki referred to as the Ship of Heaven.

Laḫmu, Lakhmu, Lache, Lumasi, or Assyro-Akkadian Lammasu is a deity from Akkadian mythology that represents the zodiac, parent stars, or constellations.

He is 86 years old... just saying

"...and they got into little spacecraft then they came here and landed, and they started civilization here."

Classic age-induced mental regression. Sounds like a 12 year-old now. Hopefully medical science is working on this issue, as Americans are living longer and longer.

But we appreciate Worden's heroism and service to this great country!

Why is that so much more far fetched then "we evolved from monkeys"?

Its either aliens ,evolution or god. All I know for sure is that I don't know for sure.

Of course, if it all came from ancient aliens, where did they come from?

Ancient alien monkeys, obviously

funny how when someone says we and the whole universe were created by a God and there is a book that has this written in it, he gets ridiculed and gets called every name in the book, but when an astronaut says that we are the aliens that came here long time ago in a spacecraft and say things like

“And if you don’t believe me, go get books on Ancient Sumerians and see what they had to say.” “They’ll tell you right up front,”

heres when everybody gets exited and you see flags and stars thrown around as if the guy presented any proof to begin with.

For one thing, because the Sumerians say no such thing.

You CAN know what the Sumerians and Akkadians wrote though.

My thoughts is that "God" and his wife came from afar called the "Heavens". And since they couldn't for some reason have children, they were able to create children here on Earth. Those children were brought back up into the Heavens and called "little angles ", to understand this, one must have children and call them a little Angle.

This is a possibility that you cannot necessarily rule out in my opinion, for example.

If they came from somewhere else, that somewhere else would have to be identical to earth, and the travelers would be identical to humans, so let's run the math. How many generations lived on a space ship before we could travel to the nearest identical planet?

Nasa can see light from the past, all the way to the big bang, so they can see what this destroyed planet looked before take off, right?

How much food to support those generations of family's making the journey and what's the upper threshold for food storage using today's most soffisticated technology? They would have to be much more tech capable than we are today, technology being their salvation imagine how hard it was to go back to caveman life as they did.

Aliens are not humanoid, not monkey sized bipedals at least. They be a different size and incompatible breeders with the humans we actually have as evidence.

We need a reboot that shows whatever brain/computer/pile of poop we live in, and the microbes we mimic moreso than anything
