In the Tao Te Ching, Lao Tzu explains that beings (or phenomena) that are wholly in harmony with the Tao behave in a completely natural, uncontrived way. The goal of spiritual practice for the human being is, according to Lao Tzu, the attainment of this purely natural way of behaving, as when the planets revolve around the sun. The planets effortlessly do this revolving without any sort of control, force, or attempt to revolve themselves, thus engaging in effortless and spontaneous movement.

The reason has to do with the thread title.................and I was quoting the Tao until you came in quoting the Bible.

Just admit it. You continually try to tie non-biblical beliefs to biblical scriptures regardless of the title of the thread.

According to the Bible, we're only able to do this through the power and belief of Jesus Christ. You were correct in your previous post about how Christianity and Tao don't mix.
So what?............I point only to the truth.....I care not what name has been put on it to hide it.
What is IS.
this exclusive mentality should be a red flag for those seeking spiritual enlightenment.

Your truth and biblical truth are not the same; they contradict each other and you contradict yourself when you try to use it out of context. Just call your God "IS" and be done with it.
Tao=the way it is.
Christ=the way, the truth, the life.

Why don't you ask TzarChasm whether he believes that or not? I'm betting not.

Once again, that depends on your definition of "spiritual enlightenment" because everyone's definition is different and not everyone is seeking or speaking to the same spirit, even though they want them to be the same.

The truth does not belong to anyone.............all bodies appear in it and are made of it.

"Just call your God "IS" and be done with it." That is the name of the Mosaic god. "I AM"

God has the ability to see past, present, and future all at the same time. That's why we're not God.

Yes ...when asked, God said 'I am that I am'.
Isn't there only what there is?

LOL! There are no politics involved when determining which spirit you choose to listen to and believe in.
Yes, no, and maybe are NOT an answer, just like your attempt to throw politics into it.
If that is your belief ...then he has already seen what you do in the future......................so you have no control over what that body or mind will do......................or is doing now.
there is politics in sorting out spirits in the manner you describe. just like there is politics in deciding who pays what money to which agency for what purpose. just like there is politics in playing chess with foreign entities while negotiating trade rights and military strategy. if you do not believe me, then take ALL money out of religion and spirituality entirely. remove finances from the equation, remove churches and books from the equation, remove material attachment from the equation. then tell me there are no politics involved.
as for the yes/no/maybe thing...this is how prayers are answered. sometimes you get what you want, sometimes you dont. sometimes you have to wait to be sure of the answer. but mostly its just people asking the universe for an answer they already know. an answer they arent happy with. an answer they want the teacher to bend for them. the answer is the question, and the question is the riddle, and the riddle is the joke, and the joke is the answer, and the answer is the question.
