Ads covering content

Hey at least I've been googling the right things.
Most of my adds are a challenger doing a burn out.
I can stand that for a little while

I don't mind the occasional ads at the bottom of a page, and I understand and accept their purpose, but this is off the charts!!

We're almost certain that there's a glitch somewhere. That much seems obvious...

I wouldn't mind the ads so much if they'd just bloody stop messin' around and load. This jerking my pages around is annoying.

Be patient, folks. Hopefully it won't last long.

It looks like the distinction between member and non-member has been erased. This is the pattern of ads I'd see when I logged out and then came back to the site and forgot that I'd logged out.

Symptoms - Big gaps between posts which turn into ads after 20 seconds or so on a page. You can't avoid them when scrolling and will load an ad even if you touch a blank. Ads also at bottom of page (larger than normal) which disappear when closed, but then show right back up again.

Equipment - Samsung Galaxy S9 running a up to date FF browser. Access via AT&T cellular svc. (not wifi)

Yep. Something seems to be broken. ...and it's well beyond my skill set to fix. So, I'll just have to deal with it.

Going to have to log out now for a while.

Ads are chewing up bandwidth like crazy.

Update with some additional info...

I'm also now getting an ad on top of my keyboard when posting. It basically covers what I'm typing partially if more than a sentence or so long.

One things for sure, we'll all need to dump cookies after this is over.

My goodness, this is over the top. I'm no long time member but in the space of years I've been here. I've never seen this. Other members are correct. Near impossible to post with the gaps and popups.

Might be beer o'clock.

On a desktop having the same issues, starting today. Scroll down a thread and plenty of blank black open spaces where an add is supposed to be. If I didn't know who the last person who posted was, I would have clicked off the thread.

Ahah. I've done that too. Always think I've been banned.

No ads but one on my end. Not using a blocker either.

What i do as a temp workaround, on android, is turn off _javascript...have to turn it back on to post or flag or star, but it fixes the issue for now!
