My Hoover shampooer died today in mid-cleaning, suction completely dead. Right after the liquid dispenser button got stuck and soaked the strip of
carpet I was shampooing. Hubby and I frantically ripped it apart and tried to fix it, but it's hopeless -- the section for it is practically welded
shut, we can't get the housing off. It's dead, done, finished, my 12 year old shampooer finally bit the dust.
I was able to use the hand mode on the spot cleaner I got a few weeks ago to suck up the puddle the Hoover spit out, though, so it's drying out right
now. At least I don't have to try to soak it up with towels, right?
I get an early Christmas present next week, that much hubs has assured me. Now I have to go study current models and figure out what the hell to get
to replace this one with, mine was so old & bulky that it was virtually the same footprint size as a Bissell Big Green (those are very bulky) I really
have no idea what's out there, the new vacuum was so easy to choose by comparison...
