I worked as a bouncer for years.....wait for it.......drunk people say stupid things....and that applies to all colors of drunken folk.

Only privilege I've ever really seen is more class related. People think they are upper class / nouveau riche and expect to be treated differently. Anyone who has interacted with celebrities or anyone with any kind of fame, knows what I am referring to. You also get these people who think they are above others through either profession, education, etc.

We've all seen these idiots. They often say stupid sh*t like:

"I'm a Doctor!"

"Do you know who I am?!"

"I know people!"

"How dare you!"

The article above is about a man visiting New York that mistakenly thinks a vehicle is his Uber ride and knocks on the window. The guy in the mistaken Uber car gets out and beats him to death. The victim is white the aggressor is black. Yahoo doesn't mention race at all. If it was the other way around they would be screaming racism, hate crime and white privilege. Why does anyone buy this crap any longer?

How many attractive women of any race have not tried to use their feminine charms to get out of trouble or to manipulate an outcome?

Sounds like she was a drunk spoiled rich girl used to getting her way. People like that will say anything they think you'll listen to to get what they want. I've met lots of girls like that...they come in many colours and they're all fairly unpleasant.

I blame her--when I do something wrong, I just accept responsibility and apologize.

Usually that gets one off with a warning, at least me.

Maybe that's my culture privilege...or white privilege...or something other than taking personal responsibility and being polite, I'm sure.

I appreciate your point, but both people are white in this story, and it's really just a story sharing someone acting like a fool while thinking that their race matters in any real way.

I won't stop sharing this type of stupidity, because it's a good reminder that playing the race card in all situations is pointless and ignorant.
