I'm going to tell you a sad story, there is this guy who joined the military. He then comes home, gets brainwashed by corporate colonialism. True story!

In response to all of this, my sources at ABC just informed me that they have fired Roseanne Barr.

I know, and Disney fired James Gunn and that was clearly beyond the pale, but it seems that no one has learned a thing and all those people who can't understand why Gunn's scalp was taken are still going to turn out to dance on Jones's grave.

Irony ... the opposite of wrinkly.

Hey. This isn't the mud pit. Are you going to discuss the thread topic or just keep attacking that other poster?

Lol you keep using that term, but its not even applicable in this case

Jones violated their terms, he got the boot.

That's how business works.

We've said this to you over and over, its a really simple concept

It’s censorship, and those who agree with it are censors. Beware these forces.

I'm seeing them two nights in philly on oct 21st and nov 1st. I've been to hulaween though. That is a blast! You said seven sets. Which night are they playing the triple set? They usually save that for halloween night but it doesn't fall during the weekend of hulaween.

It's embarrassing for the United States. In my opinion.

What is the difference with someone like Howard Stern, Trump even was interviewed by him? I see he has a twitter account when I search his name.

Twitter and the rest sell stock, they are public, not private in a great sense.

Corporate colonialism? Did you learn a new buzzphrase and need to shoehorn that into the discussion or something? How is a corporation exercising its right to do business with the clients of its choosing "corporate colonialism"? I'd really like to hear an explanation for THAT.

And the most repugnant, homophobic, misogynist, racist, rap music filled to the brim with hate speech is available for all kids to freely listen to.

Maybe they can watch an ISIS beheading video while thugging it up to gansta rap!

I think another reason they did this was the 6 lawsuits hes involved in. Many of those rants and videos were hosted through YouTube...

I don't blame them I would want to distance myself from that and any possible reprocussions too

Sigh... Way to make a martyr out of a fool like Alex Jones, guys.

Want to see an idiot hang himself? Give 'em a platform.

Personally, I'd rather he weren't censored. It gives ammo to the usual suspects like we are discussing here, and Jones is one of. Though I feel no sympathy for the man as he monetizes political lies and embellishments to an absurd degree. I also don't like that he is heavily in the health supplement game (which is unregulated). Also, I have no legal qualms with Apple's decision. Anyone who has an issue with what Apple did should immediately go to SkepticOverlord and debate with him the legitimacy of ATS' T&Cs (though I'm sure we all know the outcome of that debate).

Well, the hatred, race-baiting, nonsensical rants, name-calling, conspiracy theory touting, violence inciting, BS is about equal for the three.

I will concede, however, that TO98 and OD have never once claimed that chemicals in the water are turning the frogs gay.

So I'll give them that.

Sounds like a simple person version of the science.

"Atrazine-exposed frogs don't have normal reproductive systems," he said. "The males have ovaries in their testes and much smaller vocal organs," which are essential in calling potential mates.

They don't control free speech... they control what is hosted on their platform. That is it.

If a company cannot be compelled to make a gay cake, then they certainly cannot be compelled to broadcast someone's content.

Would the same company be allowed the same anonymity if they went public?

"Going public refers to a private company's initial public offering (IPO), thus becoming a publicly traded and owned entity."

A very sad day indeed when you're not allowed to have an opinion.
This is only the beginning and it will get worse.Say good-bye to free
speech and you will end up having no freedoms at all.

Because I believe that internet access should be a public utility, but that is a discussion for a different thread.

While I agree with you , its irrelevant on the topic of censorship.

So if Internet access were to become a public utility you would be ok with giving private companies the right to block sites they choose? I would assume not.

We shouldn't be encouraging or supporting any type of censorship by gov't or private companies.

Pretty much as if Google being so much a public used company picks which site which user can see or visit.
