We need burkas in this country for all the puritans who are terrified by the human anatomy. The Sharia-ists are right, the female body makes people loopy.

I don't think there is anything wrong with a human body, or with nudity and especially when it is in performance of a normal function such as feeding a baby; there is nothing indecent about that. Women can freely go topless on beaches throughout the world but here at home we get fake outrage about the most normal stuff.

The worst thing about this hypocrisy is that there is sooooo much American made porn out there and it wouldn't exists if it wasn't watched and consumed -- showing just how fake our outrage about this is.

Can't wait until our country joins the 21st century in this aspect... actually I can't wait until we join the 20th century. We're getting held way behind by those pushing this agenda and similar ones for decades now.

What boggles my mind is that more often than not--at least in all the stories i see--it's WOMEN who complain about other women nursing in public. I can't get my head around it. I mean, this is the ONLY reason we even have boobs, ladies. Wtf?

Although the picture doesn't show them, I'm fairly certain you could see her ankles. Disgusting!

Nope. We do make other use of them, but if we didn't need them to feed babies they wouldn't exist. I know you're joking, but the fact remains that if we didn't need boobs to feed babies, we'd all, men and women alike, have smooth flat chests with nary a nipple in sight.

Exactly. Even, as the ultra-prudish Victorians would have put it, her "walking limbs." They were so sexually repressed that " legs" was a dirty, sexy word...but breastfeeding was natural and accepted. Smh head at our ridiculous sexually hung-up society. #ing Puritans.

Men shouldn't have nipples, man-nip is gross.

And I want to add if I saw man breastfeeding a kid I would probably call the cops.

I dont hate people over their sexuality, I found that there are so many better reasons to hate people once you get to know them.

If any of my mates thought feeding a baby from a tit in public was wrong for whatever reason, I'd think them weird as # and wouldn't want them near my twin sister, the weirdo's.

The Victorians being sexually repressed is a bit of a myth. It's perpetrated by movies and a few authors. Victorian society was replete with a view of "civilised" behaviour which provides a good storyline. However, the Victorians created the study of sexuality for example, pornography was rife and prostitution of all kinds was industrial.

Anyhoo. Moving on. Breastfeeding in Victorian times was normal - there was even a trend for mothers to be photographed nursing their baby. The break in breastfeeding was from the 1940s onwards when formula milk became popular. The problem with breastfeeding today is re-normalising, suggesting that some people in "modern" society are the real prudes, not the Victorians.

I really don't give a flying crap about it. I don't care about the butthurt feelers, or the legal end. I'm tired of hearing abut how I should care about what other women can or should be able to do when I flatly do NOT.

I breastfed briefly, it was a major BS hassle and not remotely for me, and neither was pumping. There's no beauty in it, that's ridiculous, if that's beautiful, so is snorting McDonalds. It's just food.
But I never did it in public. I'm neither some angry mommy's martyr nor her support backup. I don't need to start s# to feel good about myself or validate my choices in life. I don't need to make others uncomfortable and rub it in to feel like I did something worthwhile with my day.

IMO, breastfeeding provocateurs, for the lack of a more apt description, harm breastfeeders in general. They stoke disdain and disgust through excessive overreaction and pressure, and considering the udders hanging off the chest I used to briefly use before going "This is overrated as hell" and quitting, that's saying a lot.

Get a grip. Not everything is worth a s#storm. You have not chosen the battles wisely, and I ignore every one of them anymore that has "women" somewhere in the description. And I'm not exactly alone out there, it's a growing backlash from our own kind.
