My 15 yr old nephew got caught looking at porn on his phone a few weeks ago.
His mother flew off the handle.
I told her that I would be worried if he wasn't looking a porn st 15.

I'm not sure how this fits into the big picture

Thats easy. Gives an out to the celebrity predators that are being exposed. No crime just a disease - will be the new mantra. No criminal charges just treatment. Normalization.

They will never be normalized. They prey on the herd. The young specifically. There's NO WAY anyone can tolerate their behavior.

Even though you highlight hypocrisy they would never admit it.

I wonder if some pharma company is developing a new pill to combat this evil, as we speak.

They probably had a pill already and just needed a new disease....lol

Oh, it's even worse than that.

We live in a society that encourages so-called free love and hookup sex ... for women. But when men engage in it, it's #MeToo land for them. Now we pathologize it into a mental disorder ... for men, but not for women.

So we create a culture that has an environment that encourages hyper-sexualization but penalizes it for one gender by calling it a mental disorder when they engage in it, and this is the gender that most sexual mores were designed to help provide aid to self-control to in the first place.

It's pretty darn schizophrenic of society.

I do find it funny that people who claim it's disgusting for a man to comment on a girl's ass will go on to comment on a man's ass.

This thread is going downhill fast.

The article doesnt come to any of ketsuko's conclusions but her post is obviously just an opinion.

I didn't have to.

It's self-evident from the way society is going. Feminists tell us that to empower ourselves and be strong women, we need to be free sexually the way we are told that men are. However, at the same time, men who are strong in that way are called out in #MeToo fashion.

If we spent time pointing out the hypocrisy of how it used to be that a man was lauded for his sexual conquests while a woman was a slut for hers, it seems to me the mindset modern feminists are seeking is to flip the script rather than aim for equality. You can't call a man a predator for sleeping around while you tell she's empowered for doing it.

Today that would be considered rape.
James bond would be in jail.

This may be against the Geneva Convention.

We should be humane and stick to water boarding and public hangings. Have a sole.

Grave breaches of the Third and Fourth Geneva Conventions include the following acts if committed against a person protected by the convention:

willful killing, torture or inhumane treatment, including biological experiments
willfully causing great suffering or serious injury to body or health

It seems to me that people with loads of money, power or things to lose seem to claim "sex addition" as their coverall excuse for rape and other women-hating activities.

Just waiting for that taxi diver who raped 100 women to get some therapist to successfully argue he was addicted to sex, so he can be released from prison with a big apology for treating him unfairly.

Am I being cynical?

You just gave hundreds of guys permanent erectile dysfunction. A big disclaimer or warning would have been nice.

Nope, and all the rich "sex addicts" who committed related crimes will get out of jail and fly to a private clinic somewhere nice.
