Agreed, diversity is a strong point of ours because all these different people of different backgrounds have come together to unite under one name/flag/shared culture: Americans

It doesn't work in all places around the world. But as long as we continue to share American values/identity/culture then diversity will continue to be a strength for this country not a weakness

With the title of this thread, I read: "Americans will outnumber other Americans in Texas within 5 years" and it seems a bit silly/odd

If you relax your mind and examine nature, you quickly realize that nature/god/the grand poobah/universe highly favors diversity.

It is the inflexible tree that crumbles in the storm.

It is diversity in DNA that affords species to evolve.

It is diversity that prevents a single disease from wiping out a species.

An alloy, mixing of metals, that makes steel stronger than iron.

The "secret" of steel and it's superiority on the battlefield decided the fate of nations once upon a time.

That secret was that God loves diversity. The melting pot produces greater strength than each individual element.

America was the place that other countries sent their criminals, their trouble makers, their heretics, their non-conformists.

It is sweet that we gathered here and did not suffer from our differences, but prospered...and without a King!!

We did not destroy eachother, we unified around the idea that we should be free to be who we like. Our first act was to defeat the greatest nation on the globe. The Kings family never recovered from the defeat and is relegated to symbolic celebrity today because of us.

And the tyrants and kings that shipped us here were gob smacked that instead of descending into poverty and chaos, in a few generations we became the most powerful nation on the planet and our form of government spread like wildfire across the globe.

Diversity is EVERYTHING. It was our different religious views, our different political views, our troublesome family affiliations, ethnic origins, race etc. that caused people to be shipped or flee here for refuge.

And with each wave of immigrants we became stronger, not weaker.

We are the living embodiment of the "the secret of steel" destroying the pure iron on the battlefield. The alloy, the melting pot. We are every color, political belief and religion, the tyrants that persecuted us and drove our ancestors from their lands now fear us and the persecuted seek us out to join the dream made real.

America was always an idea made real in place of a ruler.

Division, intolerance, bigotry, racism are direct assaults on the very core of what makes America Great.
