yes, the cages are horrific. Where do you want them placed? What is your address? We can send them to your living room perhaps? Oh wait, you don't actually care that much, just kind of.....

See if you grasp this.

They set out to cross the border to the USA. They were aware this was an illegal act long before they put their shoes on that day.

They were caught crossing the border illegally. (at that point, they are criminals, and they even (intended) to do the crime)

We put criminal in jail. This is not jail, it's a fenced area.

Shall we look forward to your next thread complaining about how awful the TSA treats people?

Yeah, more fake outrage from the op.

Think of the children.....

Maybe the parent shouldn't put their children in such dangers by coming here, I mean if we are so horrible then why come?

Yea, I figure they're about as critical about it as democrats were to the Obama administration (cages and all) . You remember that administration? It deported more immigrants than Bush.

Carry on.

A lot of difference between a 'cage' and a secured area..... but 'cage' pulls on the heart strings, where-as secured area does not.. MOUTHBOOGIE.

that is what a "cage" looks like....a "secure area" can be anything from 6-foot thick twenty-foot high walls, to police tape between lamp posts

that's not allowed. bad things from the past are not discussable, and good things in the present are not discussable, but good things from the past are OK, and bad things from the present are OK. I'm working on a flow chart, I'll have it ready for download by tomorrow morning.

If it makes you feel better, as a citizen, if I crossed one of our borders without ID... they'd put me in a room or fenced area until I was processed.

Further more, if you try and cross into another developed country with no passport, same thing.

I spend a lot of my time here arguing with righty But this issue is a prime example of how the far left is slowly but surely driving me out of the party. I have to agree with the president on this matter. My biggest gripe on this whole ordeal is it is coming about 15 years too late. . I hope they change the law so that the children can be reunited with their parents as quickly as possible as they are both escorted back to whence they came. a reply to: Southern Guardian

Fake outrage...yea ok...I totally understand wanting security and legal immigration, but this is sickening. Especially when you combine it with the stories that have come out from witnesses who have been able to get into those places which make their stories seem like everyday occurences. People being told they will never see their kids again, the kids being told they wont see their family members again, siblings being told they cant hug each other when scared. 20 kids to a room essentially stuck in the same room 22 hours a day, kids being forced to change young kids they dont know's diapers, and it goes on from there. And the fact that this is mostly from people seeking asylum enrages me even more. We're smarter than this, we're better than this. We can come up with something better and smarter than this garbage...And these are "regulated" detention camps. The proposed tent cities this administration has are unregulated.

The more the followers of Trump turn their backs on basic human decency, the faster this country will wash their hands of them.

And that’s pretty much it.

Yea, I'm a staunch independent, and I've about had it with the left demanding how I think and feel. This is standard oporating procedure in every developed country, especially those who face huge sums of people coming across their border.

So crossing the border is a misdemeanor for first time offense.

Any policy that detains and separates for a misdemeanor is unjust.

Repetition is a hallmark of brainwashing .... This thread wasn't needed...already one going ..... but repetition is important to the left .... And enforcing existing USA laws is also important to the majority of those who see thru this. Carry on, with thread after thread of the same and then wonder why people are turning off to the repetition....Cuz it is not working

The more his opposition acts like this is new, the faster this country will whitewash the same thing predecessors have done.

I absolutely am against ILLEGAL immigration.

However, I truly feel little children should not be separated from their mothers, or guardian (father). This can be very traumatic for a child.

I hope they can change this.

This isn't of course the first time immigrants have been hearded out into cages like this. Last month some images were released showing immigrants being kept in cages under the Obama administration. The extent of the use of these cages and the numbers, including the seperation of children and parents, has however dramatically increased under the Trump administration.

What are the comparative numbers again?

Immigrant kids detained in warehouse of humanity

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has been transporting migrant children apprehended Texas here since June 6, then shipping them on to military bases in California, Oklahoma and Texas. The agency would not say exactly how many unaccompanied minors are being housed in this large facility near the U.S.-Mexico border, but the Guatemalan consulate said in the first week more than 1,000 were there, most from Central America.

The number changes daily, and more than 47,000 migrant kids primarily from Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador have entered the country and been caught since Oct. 1.

The children — all younger than 18 — sit in fenced off areas or lie on mattresses placed on up against the other with a look of intense boredom on their faces. They are divided in holding areas by age and gender.

Btw, here's Obama's cages for children.
