He newest star wars movie is set to release in less than 48 hours.
This is the 4th Star Wars movie in the past 4 years.

I was wondering if any fans of the series, is eager to see this movie?

Personally, I'm a huge fan of Star Wars. I grew up on watching the originals on VHS over and over daily.
But this movie in particular....I couldn't be bothered with it.

There was nothing in the trailers that really reached out to me and said, yes! I need to see this.

Instead I was really let down. The actor chosen to portray solo?!
What in the hell where they thinking?

I liked the force awakens and I really liked Rogue one.

The last Jedi was a complete disappointment and disaster for me.
and now Solo,...to me, feels like it's going to be even worse.

I'm really thinking Disney is destroying Star Wars.

Rian Johnson - the director of SW: TLJ single handily killed it for me.
Now we have Ron Howard making the big Disney debut? Like this is going to make up for it?
come on Disney!
This is Star Wars, not Happy Days.

I don't know, maybe I'm judging the book by the cover here.
But my idea of a trailer is its supposed to grip you, strike you in aww,
Punch you in the nuts and make you beg for more.

All I'm getting from it is stupid one liners from a ditsy D list actor.
No grip. No aww strikeness, no nut punch.
Just a product of the Disney money machine spewing out more garbage.

Like I said, maybe I'm being to critical here.
Anyone looking forward to dropping $50 at the theatre to see this movie?

Rogue One is a cinematic masterpiece of a movie. It simply was the best damn movie I have ever seen.

Not particularly...the last one was as you said...Disney money machine garbage. It lacked that passion Lucas gave to the films.

It was definitely an exceptional film.

But how are your feeling on Solo?
Are you looking forward to the movie?

Exactly!
There was no substance to it.
The whole Vegas style planet part of the movie could had been cut out completely in my opinion.
And why the attempt at making Star Wars into comedy?
This is supposed to be the greatest Space Opera.
Not space balls.

Rogue one was pretty good. I liked the s9de story that didn't really have a major impact.
But solo I don't agree with.

Part of Han Solos character is his mysterious past and the fact he's not a very nice person in that past life. And I'm afraid they will try and make him look somewhat like a good guy. It tottaly ruins the mystique of the character.

Im attached to the original Solo, perhaps I am obtuse, but much like Indy Jones theres only Harrison Ford in that part for me.

Yup.
My thoughts as well hombres.
I don't need to know how Solo and Lando met up.
the cool part was Thinking how did he win the falcon at a game of cards.

We don't need a whole movie about it.
The Kessle run, adds to that mystique.
Like is it true, did he really do it in 12 parsecs?

I'm really glad to see others are feeling the same way about Solo.

well said, I love how Ford plzyed the character as well, he almost made the part what it became, the essence of a great character actor imo.

Now this is what I want to see in a movie,
This is just a fan made trailer but it captures everything in a prequel-esq Kenobi movie that I would love to see.
Granted it's clips from Ewans last days in the desert move.
But how this trailer is put together, it gives that emotion that I want in a character backstory movie.

I have been disappointed every step of the way.

#NotMyStarWars

The Last Jedi might have been decent if it didn't take itself so jokey. It was like trying to spot which character was really Jar Jar Binks in disguise.

Rogue One was so pointless, weird, and unmoving. I don't understand the love for it.

Call me a SW geek but I am wondering with ample substance in Legends about Solo, will Disney incorporate any of it?

For me Han's parent's died when he was young. He lead a hand to mouth youth. He was a pirate for a while. He served in the Empire for a while. Then he helped Chewy escape, got kicked out, and the rest is history.

But the GIANT saving grace about this whole thing is knowing Lando is pan-sexual. If the rest of the movie is an abomination but we get a healthy dose of SJW amongst the stars, then it's a win. //sarc off//

I'll wait until I hear from some people that have seen this one to decide if I'll hit the theatre.
Honestly from the trailers I've seen its just looks like a normal action movie with a Star Wars label.
The last Jedi really left a bad taste for me.

I'm greatly looking forward to SOLO.

Can't wait to see Glover as Lando.

Early reviews are good and I look forward to a fun entertaining movie.

I'm kind of sick of fake "fans" that do nothing but complain about Star Wars.

If you don't like it, guess what, you're not a fan.

You can go about your business, move along.

Move along.....

I'm a fan of the Indiana jones series.
The fourth movie sucked.

I'm a fan of the Star Wars series including the animated version.
The first prequel was awful.
The last Jedi was a steaming turd.

True fans care about the product and don't just accept lousy storytelling.

With the exception of “super Leia”, the casino scene and Luke’s vanishing at the end. I really liked TLJ.

I loved the unexpected twists like rey’s Parents and snoke being irrelevant.

From my understanding all the “ruined” expectations were JJ and his mystery box’s fault. Appearently JJ likes to wrap meaningless mysteries into his movies that go no where just for effect.

Now.. to solo..

I don’t think anyone really wanted a solo movie..

Imho the star wars universe has the potential to be this massively sprawling universe that you could fit millions of stories into..

By focusing on the same 5 people the series started with. They are not expanding the universe. They are making the universe contract..

We already know the solo/skywalker story.. move on..

They should be doing stuff in the KotOR timeline, the early Sith wars time lines , exc..

That’s why I was thrilled they didn’t make Rey a skywalker or Kenobi..
