Anthony Bourdain on Asia Argento’s Cannes Speech: ‘I Knew It Would Be a Nuclear Bomb

By
Trupti Rami

By no means is Anthony Bourdain known for his sweet, loving nature. The chef and television host, currently on CNN’s Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown, has built a career on his searing comments and tendency toward machismo. But Bourdain revealed a softer side in a recent interview with IndieWire. In reacting to his girlfriend Asia Argento’s stunning speech at Cannes in May, Bourdain recalled how proud he was: “From the second she said she’d been invited to present an award, I knew it would be a nuclear bomb. I was so proud of her. It was absolutely fearless to walk right into the lion’s den and say what she said, the way she said it. It was an incredibly powerful moment, I thought. I am honored to know someone who has the strength and fearlessness to do something like that.”

(In case you forgot, while presenting the best actress prize at the Cannes Film Festival, Argento made a scalding speech about Harvey Weinstein, which you can read here.)

Later in the interview, Bourdain reflected on his relationship with Argento. “She listens to my advice and frequently if not most of the time, rejects it,” he said. “That is something that Asia cannot help but do. She is brutally honest about herself and anything, and it’s a great quality.”

Maybe not...Or maybe he travels the world for a different, secret reason. Who really knows? He's a CNN guy, after all...

Or maybe Clintons got their hands on him. It's all just so weird.

Chuck Barris of The Gong Show, wrote a book maybe 30 years ago, in which he claimed he had been a CIA assassin and used the show to travel around the world doing hits. Julia Childs travelled for her show, and was a spy....so who knows?

We certainly seem to be hitting a "suicide weekend." I wonder if many of these people were connected to pedo/child trafficking rings, and they either killed themselves before they were outed, or others killed them to try to bury their connections.

Wow! Another suicide!

Anthony Bourdain died at age 61. Found dead in hotel room in France.

www.cnn.com...

I'm not sure I should be saying this but I suspect that there was much more going on behind the scenes with Bourdain than most know and that he might have found out that he was under surveillance. I think he was into a whole lot more than just food. Many of his statements on his shows were loaded with dark and creepy double entendres relating to murder and violence presented as "humor". I don't think I was reading into things or projecting either. If my suspicions are accurate, then it's possible that either they he knew they were closing in on him, or that he was suicidED to save CNN from discovery ie: that they knew all about what he was up to and involved in during his travels. He was famous for being a "bad boy chef" but I'm pretty sure he was actually a very bad man.

In that last one with Obama in Vietnam, "ketchup" on hotdogs, has veiled references to children and blood.

Tried to the find the excerpt from his trip to Seattle when he was raving about serial killers, but can't locate it.

I think that "without reservation" and "parts unknown" also had veiled references.

He was a very sick dude, and CNN were well aware of it, which is clear from a couple of interviews he did with Anderson Cooper.

I think he was up to no good everywhere they paid him to go.

I hate that it has come to this, but that’s exactly what I think about both these suicides this week! I think they were both involved behind the scenes with the same group, and they were silenced before they could flip. Something big is about to drop and unfortunately I believe spade and bourdain are just the beginning.

Serious question - how can it be that Q would know these people would take the easy/cowardly way out? Because of the overwhelming evidence against them? How can you predict what someone's reaction would be to getting caught? Just wondering the psychology behind this. If Bourdain was a kiddy diddler then good riddance.

Note: or are all these suicides 'hits' therefore more predictable. Interesting.

I'm all but certain that was the case with Bordain.

He was even more and worse than that I think, if such a thing could be possible. He liked his "hot dogs" with "ketchup" on them. I think he was a serial killer and was into torture, rape, and murder.

He did always give me a creep vibe but that's really dark #. The world has gained with him gone - bring on more!

From Newsweak:

WHAT ANTHONY BOURDAIN SAID ABOUT HARVEY WEINSTEIN AFTER ASIA ARGENTO’S RAPE ALLEGATIONS

Argento was one of the first women to come forward with allegations of rape. “I am proud and honored to know you,” Bourdain tweeted to Argento in October. “You just did the hardest thing in the world.” He added: “Can we use the word ‘rapist’ now? #Weinstein.”

Bourdain called out other celebrities who remained silent about Weinstein’s alleged behavior. “How many seventeen year olds have you dressed like they are, in your words, ‘asking for it’?” he tweeted at Donna Karan’s fashion brand DKNY.

He said to Matt Damon: “Looking forward to ‘THE BOURNE APOLOGY’ in which Jason fights off attempts to expose a pimp.”

Hmm. What's Matt Damon hiding?

EDIT:
Speaking of celebs, can anyone give me a rundown on the suspicions of John Cusak?
I've heard him mentioned a few times but no explanation.
He seems to be very vocal on Tw!tter.

Just based on personal experiences with friends and such, call it deja vu if you like. I believe we are living in a "correction" scenario.

I'd detail things out, but since it hasn't involved posters here I'd just be written off as crazy lol

For now I'll leave it there

CNN just changed the top half of their front page to black in honor of Bourdain who many of them were aware was a very bad and evil dude.

I suspect and am pretty sure that he was either suicided or committed suicide because he had been discovered.

Here's a gif of Trump and Pence water bottle code.

It's obviously staged. Who would move their water from the table to the floor, much less on cue at the same time.

Watch the Water.

And here they had us thinking its to do with Maxine Waters, Hawaiian Waters and whatnot. Well, maybe it is. Its nice to have a playful President (especially considering the very serious results being delivered).

Okay, now this is just too weird:

www.bonappetit.com...

Bourdain responded to a man in the audience who questioned if he would eat him if they were trapped in a cave. Bourdain said "f*ck yeah."

It was suggested he head to North Korea since it was rumored some people were caught eating human flesh.

***Kudos to twitter for posting this story.

Ugh, now I feel bad. I snag DKNY clothing for my kid whenever I can because the jeans are one of the few brands that actually fit him well without me having to suck the elastic adjustors in about 20 buttonholes on each side.

So, I am dressing my kid in pedo-wear? Yay!
