It's about people who came here TEMPORARILY and are still here despite the cause of them being here no longer being applicable.

Why exactly should they still be here?

Those people in question, like the Haitians, were granted "Temporary Protection Status" because of their disasters.

I know. It's a legal protected status.

So, basically, "Time's up, GTF out?"

That is not America.

(PS: their temporary status is still legal)

And it is designed to be a temporary legally protected status, and has now expired by decree. As designed.

These people came here legally (under protected status) and now you all are "GTF out of our country already or we'll throw you out."

Shameful that you call yourselves Americans.

They are here legally.

Why do you want them gone so badly?

By decree. Sounds authoritarian. They were doing fine until the administration ended their legal status for no just reason, like DACA.

They received temporary assistance. Why do you want them here permanently under a temporary aid program on the public role so badly?

They are here temporarily, why do you demand they stay permanently? It was not ended for no reason, it was ended because the reason for them being here was no longer applicable.

Ah no, they came here temporarily.

It's like inviting someone to spend the day at your house while they have the floors redone. There is an expectation for them to leave right?

Ah yes, time's up. Why is that not America? Why do you think someone here on a TEMPORARY program with the expectation for them to go back home would not go back home?
