Well if other students. Who were at massacre says someone was not there that day and that person says they do not know any of the victims them they go on a multi week media blitz about why guns are bad then yes they might be a crisis actor. Yes the white house correspondents dinner is handled like a roast that is true but I would not be inclined to royally piss off the woman who chooses who gets called on to ask questions at press conferences or who could get me barred from white house.

Perhaps you need to retreat to your safe space there snowflake. I never realized just how fragile rwnj’s were until this happened. Hopefully their Obamacare policy covers the mental heath assistance they so desperately need. a reply to: dragonridr

Today I learned: Comedians == the press

Never mind. This is not the mudpit, so instead I will merely double down on the fact that Atwood's "Aunt Lydia" is a stern female enabler serving the misogynistic patriarchal theocracy of "Gilead".
Really...a perfect analogue for Sanders. Why all the hub-bub, bub?

I think the real tragic story here is the one that nobody is addressing:

Comedy in todays world sucks. I personally feel that it died in the late 80's when comedians started to be more concerned about getting that sitcom deal more then working on their routines.
Todays comedy is just crap, and sadly that all we got to see with this person saying jokes last night. .

You could say the same about politics and politicians.

The President has people keeping notes. The evil people in the media are marked for punishment, when the time is right.

...and just what time would that be? The one when he lights a cigar off of the Constitution?

I think people have forgotten what a roast is supposed to be. There is a difference between attacking someone and roasting them. Sure, a roast can say some cruel things, but in the end, it is about having the guest laughing at themselves, not belittling and scoring political points. It is to remind the honoree that they too have flaws and they need to remember them.

In a lot of ways a roast is a modern form of the alleged Roman tradition of having a slave whisper into the ears of their generals "all glory is fleeting" and "remember, you are but human" to remind them that no matter how powerful they are, in the long run they are just like everyone else.

The only rebuttal I have is that at least Chelsea, Hillary, Obama, Michelle and "libtards" weren't the guests of honor at a dinner when the entertainment decided to attack them with those stupid and hateful comparisons.

There is a difference between a roast, which is what is the norm for this kind of function, and just attacking someone and being told what a horrible human being they are. Whether you believe it to be true or not, this venue wasn't the appropriate place for this style of commentary. The attacks directed at SHS weren't even the worst of the comments made by the "entertainment".

This wasn't the Mud Pit, a debate or a tv talk show, it was the White House correspondents dinner. SHe didn't have to kneel down and kiss the ring, but show a little decorum.

Like our President does?

Why should Michelle Wolf be held to a higher standard?

Michelle was hired to 'roast'' the Washington establishment. Sanders was there representing the President...a roastee, if you will. They did their jobs.
Trump was hired to lead the nation with dignity and efficacy. Different demands, different skillset required.

I mean, it's not like she was attending the President's State of the Union message, yelling "LIES!!"

Because she represents the white house Press corp. And as such she caused them to have to apologize for her actions. You can roast someone and still be respectful seth green dud a great job with Obama.

No she doesn't. Michelle Wolf is neither a journalist nor a correspondent. She's a comedian that was hired to "celebrate free speech" and roast both the media and the administration.

Sarah Sanders got off easy.

If Michelle Wolf is your problem right now—you need bigger problems.
