I don’t see much of a problem, Michelle used her rights to free speech in an attempt to entertain as she was hired to do. I heard it was an epic failure based on widespread criticism from the MSM. I keep reading her jokes were met with silence and ackwardness.

What Michelle may not be aware of is depending on the situation, free speech may cost you in other ways. So far it doesn’t seem this act is paying off. Gotta love that First Amendment.

A great match for Kathy Griffin!

so is that all Trump supporters, or just the few you noticed? I ask since there are quite a few you haven't heard from as of yet. But it's cool to just be lazy and say it's all of them, you know, to save time.

This kind of talk is perfectly allowed, and in some circles, accepted. It's also something that makes most who have a little tact and class cringe and realize just how ignorant those who chose to share their views publicly in this way are.

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should. But still no outrage, no meltdown, no snoflakeyness, just a little SMH.

Are you quoting me?

Since i know the answer to that...what relevance does your whataboustism have to my reply?

Disgusting behavior is disgusting behavior. You think I care about your petty partisan BS?

ETA: i'd add that DJT's fixation on physical appearance is an enormous character flaw of his, and it is an enormous turn off for me, and a big part of why I would never vote for the dude.

But God knows i have nothing to gain from his failure. Im not sure why anyone else does.

What exactly is partisan about quoting Donald Trump to show that the same actions that are being bemoaned have been exacerbated and defended?

We’re all scum, I just don’t pretend to be a white knight who is all about being a moral crusader and politically correct.

I’m making the clear comparison between posters saying “attacking a woman’s appearance,” and how the POTUS has done this - on multiple fronts - and how the same standards never apply.

If that’s partisan, well, I wouldn’t know what to call some of the absolute garbage I see on ATS poised towards “libtards.”

Whatever one might think of Michelle Wolf's performance, it's clear that anyone who works for or supports Trump has no basis for complaining about vulgarity or personal insults. Your house is made of very thin glass.

Im confused, how is she an advocate for the #metoo movement, but actively attacks women for profit and fame?

What interested me is the same media who clutched their collective pearls at the crude statements made by Trump about grabbing parts of a woman's anatomy were applauding even cruder statements.

Should Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Ivanka Trump, Kellyanne Conway, get a free ride because they're women, and not called out for lying and aiding a misogynous administration?

You missed the point, but not very surprising.

Was it actually any worse than any other event, or are people just letting their Hostile Media Effect perception (cognitive bias) get the best of them?

In 1982, the second major study of this phenomenon was undertaken;[2] pro-Palestinian students and pro-Israeli students at Stanford University were shown the same news filmstrips pertaining to the then-recent Sabra and Shatila massacre of Palestinian refugees by Christian Lebanese militia fighters abetted by the Israeli army in Beirut during the Lebanese Civil War. On a number of objective measures, both sides found that these identical news clips were slanted in favor of the other side. Pro-Israeli students reported seeing more anti-Israel references and fewer favorable references to Israel in the news report and pro-Palestinian students reported seeing more anti-Palestinian references, and so on. Both sides said a neutral observer would have a more negative view of their side from viewing the clips, and that the media would have excused the other side where it blamed their side. en.wikipedia.org...

No. I didn't miss the point. Sarah Sanders, Ivanka Trump and Kellyanne Conway are not advocates for women and the #MeToo movement. All 3 of them have called the women who have accused Pres Trump of sexual assault liars. They betray women for a profit.

ABSOLUTELY...

For every “pc police snowflake on the left there are 10 snowflakes on the right who will boycott yeti, of whoever they feel “wronged” their political POV in some random way. Then go online and call other people snowflakes for getting mad about actual issues..

I honestly wish people would use just a tea spoon of deductive reasoning ...

For every liberal complaining on the internet there are 10 conservatives crying about some nonsense that isn’t even a real issue..

It’s a joke..

I mean people have got to be trolling as I have a hard time believing your average conservative is as stupid as they act..

And your post is a case in point this isn't a left right thing at all. It's about a press that condones women being attacked foe their looks. It's never ok to invite a guest then attack them with personal attacks. I was very specific I don't care what's said about Trump to be honest probably agree with most of it. What I do have a problem with is a society that thinks it's ok to publicly humiliate Sarah on her looks and her weight. And yes even make vulgar jokes against the me to movement.

It is not acceptable for politics to be used as an excuse to publicly humiliate anyone. And if you don't think she was hurt by it go back and look at her face. It's wrong and people that choose to defend this behavior it shows a lot about how you were raised.

Sarah Sanders was NOT attacked for her looks! Nowhere did Michelle Wolf attack Sanders for her physical appearance. She attacked her for her behavior.

Do you have a problem with Sarah Huckabee Sanders' looks? You're projecting that she's vulnerable in that way. I guess you think her looks are something of a joke.

Yes she did. She compared her to someone who has also been mocked for their looks (Aunt Lydia) as well as referencing her being a man (the crude masturbation reference).

Not that you will do it...but NB4 "whatabout michelle obama"...i thought that was classless as well. Michelles daughters didn't deserve seeing the nation talk about their mother that way, nor did Michelle herself deserve that.
