Maybe you shouldn't jump off the deep end or make a federal case out of it.

So you cant refuse someone service based on race, religion, sexual preference or citizenship status but its perfectly ok to do so if you dont agree with their political affiliation.

I would be willing to bet if the hat had of been a Hillary one the outcome of the court case would have been very different.

Women were suppose to be good pretty little housewife raising the kids cooking dinner for her man, dont step out of line or talk back to much?

Your point being?

Its still his bar. If he has a dress code thats fine, but barring a trump supporter because of his hat? Whats next?

What's next? Barring someone from getting a cake because they are gay? Oh, sorry, that came first, and many here didn't have a problem with it.

I have a problem with the cake not being made. I have a problem with this guy not being served. But like everyone else said about the bakery, why can't this guy just go to another bar?

I knew the pendulum would swing back, and now some will have to eat their words.

And remember, the bar says they did serve him and he tipped. I'd like to see proof of that though. Shouldn't be too hard to prove.

Exactly - if there is a dress code at the bar, then it should be easily available to view.

That said, the bar owner should be able to kick anyone he wants out of his bar. Just like a bakery should be able to refuse service to anyone they want.

It is far better to have racism, sexism, or any form of prejudice out in the open. That way, such establishments will be at the mercy of the consumer.

Note, if society deems prejudice to be ok by supporting these businesses, then that should be fine too.

Tow Truck Driver Leaves Woman With Disabilities On Side Of Highway Because She Supports Bernie Sanders

gee guys, remember this one??
what's worse in your opinion, leaving a disabled women on the side of the highway in her wrecked car, or forcing the poor man to walk down the block probably for the drink he wants??

it I find quite amusing is that the truck driver is claiming that "God told him he couldn't tow the lady" while the guy wanting the drink is saying that he was refused because of his religion!!!

here's a clue, if you think that your religion should give you free license to discriminate against others, even when it might endanger those you are discriminating against....
don't be so danged surprised when you find yourself at the opposite end of the discrimination spear!! to give one group free license to remove people's rights is to give everyone free license and, in the end we all lose out.

Its really, REALLY ironic, to use THAT line of reasoning to support the idea that someone performing a political stunt, ought to be able to misuse the legal profession and the time of a court, to engage in whatever propagandist nonsense was involved.

The only, ONLY people making America look like WW2 Germany, are those in MAGA hats, screaming abuse at people who happen to oppose the wall, the draconian immigration policy, the continued presence of Jeff Sessions in any office at all, given his appalling record of behaviour during the civil rights movement, and the fact that this adminstration started life with people like Steve Bannon present within its ranks.

Supporting this administration is the surest way to make America look bad, hat or no hat.

I am not really interested into opening Trump threads.
But somebody else could do it, because it´s too funny!

Last time I checked, "Trump supporter" isn't a protected class of citizen, so denying service to one should be 100% legal. I see nothing wrong with this ruling.

How’d he run up a $200 bill if he was refused service?
This sounds like... FAKE NEWS!

Publicity or not a bar should not be able to refuse service for a specific hat or because of political affiliation this was America it Starting to look ww2 ish wanna live in that kind of reality?

Feel free to boycott the bar. The bar says they didn't deny him service. The customer says the bar did deny him service. It was their words against his and the judge only ruled that a bar has the right to deny service in this instance. I don't care either way.

Maybe the leftists who side with the bar owner can set up separate drinking fountains for people who don't think like them.

I play the ATS "leftist" drinking game.

Every time it's said, I take a shot.

I'm so drunk.

But they are a very "special" group.

So big and special, yes they are. Yes they are!

then in that light, it would be fine with you to be kicked out of a bar or restaurant because you are a leftie? I bet you would cry a bit over that.

I guess if you want to buy a spit filled wedding cake or a penis dipped scotch on the rocks it's well within your rights.
