I voted and gave Obama 4 years and that was all, so I am doing the same for Trump(Jonson got my vote). A president can please some of the people all the time but not all the people some of the time.

I was never on or off the "Trump Train"

I've defended the man against all these emotionally based attacks.

And I've said repeatedly:

I'd have voted for a wet paper towel versus voting for Hillary.

Having said that, i cannot make a judgement call on this bombing. I've heard of the chemical ataacks, and IF we have irrefutable evidence Assad did it, then OK. Men much higher up the chain from me have much more knowledge than I do as a victim of modern mainstream media.

Who do we believe?

Do we believe Assad did it? Do we believe the Rebels did it? Do we believe (as I've read elsewhere) it was the British doing it to frame Assad?

I just don't know. I cannot call it.

I'm never happy about war, I can say that.

I don't care about war as long as the US fights it to win it and doesn't delve into GWB "kinder-gentler" nonsense, so this strike makes zero difference in my support of President Trump. POTUS has to break some foreign eggs now and then, it goes with the job.

When chemical weapons are used all bets are off. If he intervenes on the use of chemical weapons and you complain it is safe to say had he ignored the attack you would have vilified him for not caring about the suffering children. You make a big deal of some philosophical moral red line that was crossed but the truth is you were standing in the middle of a giant spirograph just waiting for a chance to bad mouth Trump. Congratulations. You chose to do so while American soldiers are fighting overseas. You would think this would be a time to come together to support our troops but I guess partisan politics is more important to you.

Trump had an easy out to this, Obama even handed it to him through existing policy. Demonize Assad, claim the US's hands are tied due to Congress, and help the victims by allowing refugees.

Have I not said in about 50 posts that trump is at fault?

But you ignore the anti trumpers, many from the party of peace, have cheered oin the deep state and were against any attempts at deescalating conflict with syria and russia.

Maybe dont cheer on the deep state next time.

But yes, trump is to blame, no matter what the reason. He is sresponsible for this attack first and foremost.

Responses like this are why people are being difficult. Trump never campaigned on peace, he campaigned on war crimes. On several occasions now he has criticized the military for trying to limit civilian casualties.

Trump does not promote peace. He promotes killing anyone who isn't white.

I hear you OP and appreciate your honesty.

But with Trump and his followers, I have very little sympathy for. And here's why.

Trump's obvious immorality and dishonesty should show people that he has no integrity to even be loyal to those he deems his followers or even their issues. This is illustrated by the way he jumps all over the place: one minute he says this and the next he says the opposite. He lacks any real belief in anything but his own aggrandizement.

He doesn’t have that inner integrity and anyone who doesn’t see that to me isn't looking.

Willtell you've gone insane. I fixed your quote. You really sound like a clueless moron. We've all been talking about the deep state for a decade now. You're not smart anymore, just super far left sjw partisan.

It’s not a war. It was a precision missle strike.

Its been a war for years. Founded by Hillary (the Mother of ISIS), fought by "our" paid mercs Al Qaeda (who did 9/11) and their offspring ISIS, in our name.

Enough is enough.

What?

If you dont know any of the crucial history to understanding all this kind of issue then...

I understand much of the "crucial history", I just never view it so one-sidedly.

Did you know that mere sanctions are an act of war?

It's called Economic Warfare.

Other forms of WARFARE include Psychological, Cultural, Political, Scientific, Electronic and the there's 'proper' Military Intervention (which can be 'regular' military boots on the ground, or it can be paid mercs or other such flavors to engage in proxy WAR).

The situation in Syria has been a war since the moment CIA/NATO critters started cooking up the behind the scenes to set the Arab Spring in motion. That was a WAR on the entire Middle East (and surrounding nations).

Al Qaeda was the militant boots on the ground mixed in the crowds of protestors.

Unlike Libya, Syria didnt fall 'overnight'.

So then the "ISIS" front was cooked up out of Al Qaeda, theri supposed 'official' split up, and...

originally posted by: IgnoranceIsntBlisss

Note ISIS wasnt even a thing on anyones radar hardly until Al Qaeda's assault on Assad was failing, people were going to catch on anyday, so Al Qaeda 'officially' split in two and "ISIL" was born. Then all boogeyman stories were centered around "ISIS", the term "Al Qaeda" was scrubbed out of the MSM language to be replaced by "moderate rebels", and away they went supposedly as enemies the two of them.

Of course the Big Question is when wasnt Al Qaeda still partnered with the CIA?

Bin laden was supposedly killed just months prior to all this, Zawahari the new #1 guy, who was supposed to be even more radical than OBL, over night after we kill OBL he signs his soul to the CIA?!?!?

BS!

And that is all The Story of the Decade. Yet it isnt even hardly on anyones tongues, while we chase Russian's under our beds, and split hairs over everything else under the sun about all this BS in the "news".
...
Trump he's beat around the bush at what I'm saying at least, which was an improvement. But yet he still hasnt hardly nailed any of them to the wall not even verbally for it. Not even when it would have squashed this entire witch hunt after him. Which unless he wants the MSM NeoMcCarthy witch hunt snip show after him then it doesnt make any sense he wont call mofo's out for partnering with the people EVERYONE told us crashed planes into and blew up the WTC.

Does it change your opinion that we gave the Russians 48 hours advance notice for this strike, to ensure we didn't hit any of them? How do you feel about the fact that they almost certainly passed that info to the Syrians to ensure we only hit empty buildings?

I could be. But I'm not the one who calls for military strikes against civilians, attacks the military for minimizing casualties, wants to use the military against Mexicans, and left Puerto Rico to die.

Trumps feelings on race and who violence should be used against are very clear.

48 hours is enough time to move people, not chemical manufacturing equipment. The 48 hour notice likely prevented this from becoming the WWIII event so many Chicken Littles are predictably mislabeling it as.

I really do believe that there is a psyop going on making people nuts. The left is completely obsessed with race. It's weird, really weird. It's like all they talk about anymore. Something is really wrong, no doubt.

Firstly not America. Don't live in America, I live in Canada, but was born and raised in the UK and moved here when 25.

Now as a Brit: I did not support them joining this (once again) American war. (I say this knowing I will be fired upon in here) I also dislike her as a a PM and a person. Don't I assume because of this I am a Conservative. I will not disclose my political ideology. I simply and putting my 2 cents in this topic from my own personal opinion regardless of which way I lean.

As a Canadian: Being we are neighbours, and on the same continent I do not like, and never supported Trump, for one reason. I find him a danger to the well being of the USA, to the world. I genuinely think when you have a POTUS using twitter as a diplomacy tool....one has to ask how presidential a president should be.

Side note: Seriously, how many people believed Iraq had WMD? Does anyone have the guts to admit they did...TWICE. See how that ended up.... and guess who DIDN'T have WMD.... The government telling me there was an attack, and Syria say there wasn't is simply words against words. Don't end up in a war again because you have been made to think a war is needed.

So Off, but never on.

Ummm...this does it for me...I'm sick to death of candidates campaigning on certain issues...and then doing an about face...

His borrowed from Ron Paul stance vis-a'-vis non militaristic adventurism was what resonated with me the most out of all his campaign talking points...Twice now he has fired salvo's of cruise missiles into a sovereign nation on the pretext of a lie...

It was only February when General Mattis stated that there was no evidence that Assad or his forces perpetrated the first sarin gas attack last April...however...after no on the ground verification during that episode as well...it was too late...the cruise missiles had fallen almost a year before...

Now we have a repeat...an illogical repeat of that very same scenario...another knee jerk bowing to the neocon deep state...

I am a soldier sir...and I despise war...I detest it...I hate that we allow ourselves to be led to death and ruination simply so those that profit from that industry can reap fresh reward from sacrifice...

I hate being played...every man or woman that ever put on a uniform has been played and the fields are full of them where they lie dress right dress...

I am done...I will not support a liar...not again...

How has Trump done any kind of about face?

He campaigned on making our military strong again. A strong military is a deterrent to war.

Trump also condemned Obama for being weak when dealing with other countries, including the Syria red line.

There is a time for avoiding conflict and a time when something needs to be done. Trump has always been one to get things done.

Ummm...get things done...?

At the expense of what...?

Truth...rationale...honor...justice...?

I stood there at that rally while he explicitly stated he would pull out of these conflicts and bring the boys and girls home...

I also listened to him state many times...no missiles or bombs should be dropped in Syria without congressional approval...

Making our military strong does not equate using it based on innuendo and outright falsehood...It means having the strongest and best deterrence in case of attack...not based on lies orchestrated by the damned white helmets who are proven liars...

What something needed to be done...and for what reason...?
