People always say truth and righteousness will prevail. I don't think so. It seems we are being governed and ruled by the most corrupt and vile humanity can produce right now, and I don't imply Trump. Just seems we are now living in a lawless society other than for those at the bottom. Makes me sick to even witness the corruption we see today.

If Trump fires Mueller, there will be backlash from even the GOP, no?

Many in the GOP are Crooks too. The swamp is not just Republican or Democrat.

Ah, thank you silly
I was not aware of that.

Either way, it is clear Mueller has nothing of value on Trump. None of those who pleaded guilty "flipped" and no secret evidence is going to show up. Of course Trump could slip up and say something stupid ( happens on occasion
) but it is time to end the charade

Mueller needs to either recommend impeachment to congress or conclude his work.

Doesn't take a special prosecutor to investigate the type of crimes he's been presenting to the grand jury. FBI and existing federal LE are perfectly capable of carrying out their job. And if they aren't, why do they still exist as a federal agency?

The Bible says truth and righteousness will prevail in the end. But in the interim there will be lots of good people ruined.

They absolutely are. They are just as spineless and ineffectual as the Dems I rail against at times.

That said, impeachment/conviction requires far more votes then the RINOs and establishment Dems can muster. Too many of us libertarians/tea party types that have proven we *will* hold them accountable. We have no problem taking their jobs/income away, firing their a###s, humiliating them and replacing them with congressional reps that will do their job.

Look at wittle Jeff Flake and his buddy (what's his name? I forgot it already...)

....unimportant little people have a way of disappearing into history.

I think the Stormy Daniels angle is just a Smokescreen. The FBI is going after president Trump's business dealings and taxes. Michael Cohen has all of that and client-attorney privilege has just been breached.

What does the bible say about lying serial adulterers who bribe politicians and defraud working class people?

Raid a Democrats home on the suspicion that there might be evidence for an ongoing case? True patriots doing their job.

Raid anyone associated with Trump's homes on the suspicion there might be evidence for an ongoing case? They're anti-American/fascist scum that work for the "deep state".

Sound about right?

If this has anything to do with Mueller, time to fire his ass. This is so far outside the scope of "Russia collusion" debunked conspiracy theory it isn't even funny.

And yes, it was debunked the second Mueller conceded Trump wasn't an actual criminal target.

Fire him, and deal with the backlash later. No one is impeaching Trump, period. Worthless ineffectual GOP can't even get their act together to pass our agenda through congress, they sure as hell won't find support for impeachment. Really for any reason.
hitler had agendas too..its time to make it a true republic where everyones liberty is respected. But catch 22s all over.

Wait a second, there's no commandements about defrauding the working stiff. You cannot call God an a-hole but nothing in there about hosing the working class.

Then we get career losers like John S. McCain who does nothing but subsist on public money the majority of his adult life. An absolute waste of a human being. He should accept that he's unable to carry out his duty/job (by actually showing up for votes, and not making deluded public statements that showcases your dementia/stupidity). Instead, he continues to collect a paycheck and maintain his death grip on power at the expense of the tax payer. He'd rather collect his welfare (public money) and not do his job than give up power and let someone who will do the job step in.

I don't usually speak ill of the dying, but in McCain's case I'll make an exception. Good riddance

From how I interpret this the raid was due to his recommendation but not part of his investigation which I further interpret to mean he felt some sort of criminal wrong doing took place with Cohen but it was not his case to handle so informed the local FBI branch.

Best take of the thread so far. Looks like Mueller came across evidence of something that was unrelated to his investigations and referred it to the FBI's NY branch.

Federal prosecutors in Manhattan obtained the search warrant after receiving a referral from the special counsel

Whatever it was, it must have been substantial enough to get a search warrant.

Side note to no one in particular, the "deep state" blathering is ironic considering that pre-election the word in the right-wing echo chamber was that the FBI's NY office had "gone rogue" and was doing everything it could to tank Clinton (which many of the same people cheered).

I'm sort of reading that, too, but even so, if Cohen was cooperating as his lawyer (Stephen Ryan) claims, having "provid[ed] thousands of non-privileged documents to the Congress and [sat] for depositions under oath," I would agree with him that such a raid is an inappropriate action, even if there was some sort of suspected wrongdoing outside of the scope of Mueller's investigation (which hasn't really stopped him thus far).

Like I said, we'll have to wait and see, because I don't understand the reasoning for this raid yet.

But the reality that both the FBI and Mueller are not exactly excited with Trump's actions and statements about them thus far, it's not far-fetched to think that it has an air of vindictiveness encompassing it.

Hopefully I'm wrong, because I abhor the justice system being abused in such ways.

Of course, without having any official statement from the FBI yet, we're just sitting here twiddling our thumbs, speculating.

Wouldn't that be on the voters of Arizona for putting him there? Those potato heads are the ones that keep pulling the lever for this ding dong. Left/Right. Left/Right. None of it matters, just vote your party.

If there was criminal wrong doing that he came across he's still obligated to turn that over to someone else if it's out of his purview, which it appears it is. If the IRS comes to your house to audit you and they see your kid may be being abused I think they would contact CPS. Not for them to handle but they are obligated to inform someone.
