Post from April 3rd about the Pope having a bad May.

Well news article today regarding China and underground catholics who support Cardinals who are challenging this Pope on issues.

It mentions the Cardinal speaking at the conference was one of 4 cardinals that spoke against the current pontiff.

Then it says 2 of the 4 original Cardinals speaking out are DEAD. So now going to dig up those stories.

I know in Canada religion has become much less pronounced.

I think the US as well.

Maybe I am wrong. But Catholicism is HUGE around the planet. This much I do know.

Seems like this might be the 4 Cardinals Q was hinting at.

Now to try to find out how the 2 died!

Reuters) - A Hong Kong cardinal who has spearheaded opposition to the Vatican's rapprochement with China has asked conservative Roman Catholics who are in open defiance of Pope Francis to back his cause.

The plea on Saturday night by Cardinal Joseph Zen to a Rome conference on the limits of papal authority appeared to be the start of a new alliance that could help both sides bring their message of dissent across.

The main speaker was American Cardinal Raymond Leo Burke, who in 2016 was one of four cardinals who challenged Francis over some of his teachings on the family and divorce.

They accused him of sowing confusion and Burke has said he has a right to "correct" the pope. Two of the four cardinals who made the challenge in 2016 have since died.

The dead ones are an Italian, Carlo Caffarra and a German, Joachim Miesner.
Caffarra died in Sept, 2017 at age 79 after a long illness.
Meisner died in July 2017 at age 83 while on vacation.

The cardinals are Raymond Leo Burke, an American who was demoted from a senior Vatican position in 2014 and who has often criticized the pope, Germans Walter Brandmuller and Joachim Meisner, and Italian Carlo Caffarra.

Just a thought... Prince Charles is in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia for the Commonwealth Games. I wonder if he's returning by Qantas? If anything happened to his flight that would create instant outrage and make a call for war accepted easily?

QANTAS, apparently, has a perfect air safety record (#1 industrywide)...with zero fatal crashes.

Qantas‘ safety record is so famous that it was the counterpoint to the statement “All airlines have crashed at one time or another” in the 1988 movie Rain Man. In the 28 years since the movie, Qantas has retained its perfect record.
