DAVID HOGG: On the day of the shooting, I got my camera and got on my bike and road as fast as I could three miles from my house to the school to get as much video and to get as many interviews as I could because I knew that this could not be another mass shooting.
The whole nation is being had over this. But do we really believe that that many thousands of kids showed up in DC without help? How many 15-17 year olds do you know that can afford airfare, hotels, food expenses, local travel and everything else involved for that amount of time?
The evening after the shooting, Hogg says, he biked up to the school, where the media was still camped out. This time, he put himself in front of the camera, making his first — but not final — plea for an end to mass shootings. He made another on CNN on Thursday morning, calling on lawmakers to “get something done.”
"I'm not a crisis actor," Hogg told CNN's Anderson Cooper on "AC360" Tuesday. "I'm someone who had to witness this and live through this and I continue to be having to do that."
"I'm not acting on anybody's behalf," the 17-year-old added.
because I knew that this could not be another mass shooting.
Hogg huddled with his classmates inside a classroom during the shooting. As a student journalist, he decided to pull out his phone and interview fellow students about gun violence prevention.

His wiki page says he was in an environmental science classroom or something, and that he filmed from inside the classroom.
I haven't bothered to look for said film, however.
