Punishing law abiding citizens? People who shoot up schools are not law abiding citizens. why do you feel so threatened by these teens?

"I support the right of the educated to protest."
And who's going to decide who's educated?
You?

Older people tend to forget that the youth of today are going to be the leaders or tomorrow.
What they are living in, what a lot of kids had seen and lived through will not be forgotten. The future of gun laws will be much different in the future.

These are young adults not children and they did this themselves. Those students organized this whole thing. They were supplemented in getting permits and the talent that performed for free but they did this themselves for the most part. So I'd take them seriously if I was a congressman because those who are not old enough to vote have parents and guardians who are. And they mean business.

We adults that have a problem with it mean business too and we wont go down without a fight if it comes to that.
I will not sit silently and let my rights be decided by an army of KIDS that dont even pay taxes let alone contribute to society other than protesting on a weekend.

some of us adults agree with the kids. some of us adults went out to protests ourselves.

They are the future voters. You obviously have not been listening. These kids are smart and articulate and they have a strong message. It's their own voices and their own experiences. They have stared down the barrel of a rifle meant to take their lives away while taking a calculus test. Jesus give them some credit.

I believe these kids are doing this out of legitimate fear they have, and who can blame them with what they've been through. I believe they are doing what they think is right to improve their lives and the lives of other students, im not a lot older than they are but I am very proud of what they are doing. They arent calling for a revolution, they are calling for democracy and people to vote for what they believe.
I do though, think their messaged is being hijacked, by both sides who want to spin it to their narratives. I cant remember any students, or atleast the prominent ones behind this march calling for total gun control. I heard one explain 5 key points that they would like to see a couple days ago and it sounded relatively reasonable.

These young people need to recognize that our 2A is not the cause. Guard your 2A like treasure.
Americans once had the right to own slaves.
Then common sense prevailed and that right was taken away. The same will eventually happen with the right to own arms.
It may take awhile, but it will happen.
There will be bloodshed before that happens

I'm so proud of these kids and their activism.
Maybe there is a coming generation who actually can make America great again, by holding politicians accountable, and can get the NRA OUT of our government.
The right to keep and bear arms is a vital element of the liberal order that our Founders handed down to us. They understood that those who hold political power will almost always strive to reduce the freedom of those they rule and that many of the ruled will always be tempted to trade their liberty for empty promises of security. The causes of these political phenomena are sown in the nature of man.
The U.S. Constitution, including the Second Amendment, is a device designed to frustrate the domineering tendencies of the politically ambitious. The Second Amendment also plays an important role in fostering the kind of civic virtue that resists the cowardly urge to trade liberty for an illusion of safety. Armed citizens take responsibility for their own security, thereby exhibiting and cultivating the self-reliance and vigorous spirit that are ultimately indispensable for genuine self-government.
In 1987, Florida became the first jurisdiction with large urban population centers to enact a statute permitting almost all law-abiding adults to obtain a concealed-carry license. Notwithstanding near-hysterical prophecies from many police chiefs and other putative experts, violent crime went down instead of up, and license holders almost never misused their weapons

They're not listening. They can't be and still think these people are advocating taking guns away. They are not. They are advocating tougher gun laws.
They are afraid because they see the power of humans joining together.
They don't know that most people in this country feel this way.
