Do you claim there are no violent criminals out there? Using knives? Banned firearms? Explosives? Vehicles? Aircraft? Chemicals?

Since that was clearly a rhetorical question (the correct answer is a blanket YES), it isn't even a question whether one needs to carry a deadly weapon. It is obvious that doing so gives you an immediate and decisive edge against violent crime or domestic/foreign invaders.

If the big bad Ruskies ever did invade the UK, how could you possibly defend against them? Remember the Nazis? Standing armies weren't enough. "The resistance" was instrumental to the success of the allies. They never could've "resisted" anything without firearms.

A kind heart and good will simply won't cut it. No foreign invader or violent criminal is going to stop merely because you begged them and asked nicely. Your pleas will fall on deaf ears.

So if your state specifically prevents you from defending yourself against known and very real violent threats, you really should be re-evaluating some life choices..........

Not a chance, at least not without the possibility of someone knowing about it. Porton Down like all facilities like it is inspected by the OPWC regularly and is tightly controlled. This site has not had a active weapons program since the 1950s and it only produces small amounts for testing. Lets say however that they did somehow just have a few vile's of the stuff kicking about, it would be kept in a highly secure area and I think the chances of it going missing would be equal to that of losing a nuke.

And, how concrete is the evidence against Russia?

So as I pointed out in my first post in this thread the current expert view seems to be that this stuff is only produced in Russia. The UK police (SO15) will not release specifics in regard to the evidence before a court case anyway and I think that a lot of this might unfortunately fall down to how much you trust that the UK government is telling the truth when they say it was Russia until that evidence is made public

I believe them right now for a few reasons, I think Russia has the means to do this, they have the motive to do this and they have previous for doing this. Everything so far for me builds up a picture that says its most likely that the Russians done this. That is not to say however that we should close ourselves off to the possibly of another state actor or entity having been behind this assassination attempt. All I am saying right now given what we know it seems most likely this was the Russians until unless something else comes out that contradicts that.

No but I think so far the absence of any proof for this is sufficient. For now at least. This is all still a ongoing investigation so when there is a lack of information being made public then sure, there will be speculation about another conspiracy of some kind.

It could be one of two things and both aren't good.
Russia purposely used poison to assassinate a target or Russia lost a certain amount of a chemical weapon and has no idea who is using it. Both make Mad Vlad look like he's not in full control a week before elections, luckily he's already killed any real competition.
If the Russia state used the chemical weapon, then it shows the poor job his FSB agents did and makes Mad Vlad look incompetent, and if it was used by someone else, it show Mad Vlad can't keep control of his country's chemical arsenal, either way it makes Mad Vlad and his political party look incompetent

The Russians would face the same problem as the Nazis, and everyone since 1066. It's called the English Channel. A Russian invasion of the UK would only be possible if they actually got to the Channel, and that is pretty doubtful. In fact, they would probably not get passed Poland. I suppose they could send their navy, but that would not get very far as I am not sure the tugs would bother.

But is this really on topic? Even the most excitable doom-monger on ATS has not started predicting WW3 out of the Salisbury poisoning.

Up until the elections I was 100% against Russia

I can't deny there was a part of me which noticed something, we all did, we noticed the same multinational globalist working behind the scenes all the time

We ignored it because the illuminati brigade would keep pointing it out

But we were patriots to our nations and our alliance

But when these people turned on trump and there globalist MSM began to attack trump more than we've ever seen in history

Something was up, something wasn't right
