After Trumps embarrassing campaign speech, maybe the Republican candidates will wise up. If he goes of script and starts spewing his ridiculous insults, they will probably lose.

In my case I hope he keeps up his stupidity.

Trump will continue to be Trump. Moderate republicans are deserting his far right agenda in droves.

Yet he will be re-elected in 2020.

I don't think he will make it to 2020....Look into his eyes, heart attack waiting to happen.

Donald Trump is the healthiest president in History, and likely the healthiest man in history as well.

Odds are everyone here on ATS will die of a heart attack before Donnie.

Is a recount even worth it though? The new district race will be this November, so the furor over this election and its results seems entirely premature and worthless considering its for a district that won't exist in 8 months.

Considering the political capitol and momentum that could be generated from a false outcome, absolutely they should recount.

If there were 100,000 Non-PA citizens registered to vote in PA, as this article alleges, they would most likely vote for whom?

So Trump campaigns for the GOP candidate that spent 3x more in a part of PA that supported Trump, but the democrat won.
Probably nothing to worry about....

Ha ha ha ha.

Nice try. Breitbart is well known for doing nothing more than pushing an agenda, tossing out its leader when the leader no longer supported the agenda.

The "allegations" from a lawsuit filed by one of those organizations meant to drum up the issue itself. Here is a summary of a real lawsuit taking place in Kansas, brought against Kris Kobach, and not going so well: www.esquire.com...

And a second article about the same lawsuit:

Von Spakovsky has said that voter fraud is a serious problem both in Kansas and nationally. Questioned by Kobach in court on Friday, he pointed to a handful of cases in Kansas and hundreds of allegations of noncitizens on the voter rolls that date back to the 1980s. But Ho noted that von Spakovsky had donated to defendant Kobach’s campaign in 2010 and had voiced support for the idea that being born in the United States doesn’t guarantee U.S. citizenship. Ho intended to show that von Spakovsky had formed an opinion about the Kansas law before he knew much about it and had written an expert report based on unreliable information. Von Spakovsky admitted that he was not aware of a single election in which noncitizen votes determined the outcome. He also conceded that his research into voter fraud had not been subjected to the same kind of rigorous peer review that academic work would face. It always was a fraud and a scam, an excuse to keep inconvenient people from voting. Now, the president* whose campaign was lousy with the fingerprints of the Volga Bagment wants to put guns behind his fantasies. Why doesn’t somebody just give him a uniform with lots of medals and a balcony to stand on, and let somebody sane run the country? Your problem is this. This history of the southern conservative (and now conservatives everywhere) is one of voter suppression, all so that "those people" don't vote. It can come in the form of poll taxes, literacy tests, Voter ID, Gerrymandering to the point the PA SCOTUS had to step-in. This latest scare about "illegals voting" has no basis in proof, and every basis in attempting to make voting harder, because the harder it is to vote, the easier it's always been for conservatives.

And boy howdy is that ever important nowadays. Two of the last 3 presidential elections in which a Republican won, he received fewer votes than the Democrat (and Bush won over Kerry by just a smidge in Penn). Additionally, more Senate votes were cast for Democrats than Republicans, and though Repubicans did get more House votes than Dems, they got 49% of the votes, and 55% of the seats due to efficient gerrymandering. www.brookings.edu...

Yet, Repubs act as if this is a "Center-right" country, when actually they have garnered fewer votes for president and Senate, and are vastly overrep'd in the House. No wonder the Right needs to make up stories about illegals voting. It's getting tougher all the time being the party of trans-national corporations, the .01%, the "anti-science," evangelicals. Gotta suppress as many votes from "those people" as possible.

conservative centrists never mention welfare???

And laughably after years of hearing about diversity its SO ironic to see the Dems run a candidate who is not only male but white.

umm... ya, most candidates in either party have been mostly white and male...
ain't nothing new with that one.
I would rather they run the best person for the job than have them worry about their gender or sex.

from your link:

Adams said the state already admitted that it allowed non-citizens renewing their driver’s licenses to have the opportunity to register to vote.

all the dmv is doing is forwarding their information to the voter registration office... their "opportunity to register.. but instead of that information coming in with the documents needed to proof citizenship, it's gonna come in with the documents that will clearly show that they are refugess, immigrants, and whatever the classes of immigrants the is. I imagine that there is someone at the voter registration office that is responsible to ensure that their applicant comes with the necessary documents that prove citizenship. either than or the state is run by a bunch of idiots!!

and your article goes on to mention virginia as being another state where this is happening. a few pages back I posted about the hassle we went through just trying to get our son his learner's permit... lol... at the time the illegals were traveling to north or maybe it was south carolina to get their licenses and cars registered because virginia's dmv was so stringent.

no, don't buy it just because the dmv allows legal aliens to get ids and driver's licenses... with the proper documents to prove their status and a check with DHS... and offers to send their information to the voter registration office if they chose doesn't mean that those applications aren't being denied if they don't come with some sort of certification that they showed the proper documents to prove their citizenship.
ya maybe a few slip by because of clerical errors, but not that many! if you have that many you either have 100 thousand or so committing fraud, or you have idiots working for the gov't.

It is a crime to vote in federal elections if you are not a US citizen. A persons voting rights cant be suppressed when they cant vote legally in the first place.

Voter id laws should be mandatory, especially when a political party hands out driver's licenses or id cards that make no distinction on citizenship so the person can illegally vote.

Chicago just did this, issuing city ids so people can vote. However in that case the id was designed specifically so illegals could vote.

Why you ask?

Because Rham Emmanuel approval is so low it is not likely he will get reelected as Mayor unless he can broaden his base...

IE illegals voting illegally.

I also want to know why Democrats are against voter id laws yet seem to be silent on Chicago's push for voter id. Maybe because they are going to use it to violate election laws to get Democrats elected.
