Big picture is rare.
Rare earth metals!
Largest known rare earth deposit discovered in North Korea
North Korea is sitting on $6 trillion-$10 trillion of untapped minerals (gold, iron, rare earth metals) the world wants

Announcing the New AWS Secret Region
The AWS Secret Region can operate workloads up to the Secret U.S. security classification level. The AWS Secret Region is readily available to the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC) through the IC’s Commercial Cloud Services (C2S) contract with AWS. The AWS Secret Region also will be available to non-IC U.S. Government customers with appropriate Secret-level network access and their own contract vehicles for use of the AWS Secret Region. These contract vehicles will not be part of the IC’s C2S contract.
With the launch of this new Secret Region, AWS becomes the first and only commercial cloud provider to offer regions to serve government workloads across the full range of data classifications, including Unclassified, Sensitive, Secret, and Top Secret. By using the cloud, the U.S. Government is better able to deliver necessary information and data to mission stakeholders.
General Motors sold Magnequench, a company that used rare earth minerals to manufacture magnets critical for military weapons systems, in 1995 to a group of investors including the Soros Fund Management and two Chinese firms; five years later, the company opened a new plant in Tianjin, China.
Frank Giustra likes to see big where others think small.
The Canadian mining maverick’s latest target is a subterranean patch of red earth in southwestern Mexico. In January his new undertaking, Leagold Mining Corp., bought the Los Filos mine from Goldcorp Inc. for $350 million. It wasn’t the open pits churning out 200,000-plus ounces of the precious metal that caught this attention -- it was the untapped deposit stretching for roughly 600 meters below.
Also noteworthy is the fact that in the aftermath of the devastating Haitian earthquake of 2010, the U.S. government awarded some highly lucrative development contracts to Clinton Foundation donors. Moreover, Hillary’s brother, Tony Rodham, was a board member of a small North Carolina mining company, VCS Mining, that in 2012 received one of only two highly coveted “gold exploitation permits” from the government of Haiti; it was the first such permit that had been issued in more than half a century.

Facebook is just a website.
The series was conceived by David Burkey, a former television producer who served with the Signal Corps in the Korean War. He saw it as a way to use film footage accumulated by the Army Pictorial services, packaged in a way that would be attractive to commercial television. The first series of 13 episodes was broadcast on CBS in late 1951, with each episode about an aspect of the Korean War.
As a Republican staffer who has worked for five U.S. Senators and has been involved in politics my whole life, I can’t figure out why the House and Senate Republican leadership is trying so hard to lose their majority. They repeatedly break promises, appear to be incompetent legislators, and have implemented only a fraction of the ideas they promised would become law. This Republican Leadership is an embarrassment.
Growing demand for magnets in automobiles, and energy generation will majorly contribute to the growth of global rare earth metals market over the forecast period. The demand for rare earth magnets is majorly increasing by their consumption in electric and hybrid vehicles, and wind turbines.
Inconsistencies in rare earth metal supply and demand is the significant restraint to the growth of global rare earth metals market over the forecast period. As majority of the global rare earth production capacity is in China, it is becoming difficult for the other countries to rely more on China, and causing huge disturbances in trading.
At the Senate Intelligence Committee hearing held in May 2017, Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) and the acting Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Director Mike Pompeo expressed their strong concern over the United States’ excessive dependence on foreign-produced rare earth elements and its potential impact on national security.
According to the United States Geological Survey, the United States relied 100 percent on imported rare earth elements in 2016, and more than 70 percent of those were from China. The Department of Defense is estimated to require 800 tons of such elements each year
These elements are key components of a vast array of products, including smart phones, computers, light bulbs, electric cars, wind turbines, satellites, cruise missiles, and stealth aircrafts.
China enjoys a monopoly in the rare earths market. It is estimated that in 2016, more than 80 percent of rare earth elements produced in the world were excavated in China. The country is also believed to hold more than 30 percent of the planet’s remaining rare earth element reserves.
