To dread or not to dread ,that is my question also , frankly I'm getting tired of it, I used to be all skin headed, but my folks around me keep saying it's good for my image,we had this conversion before but have yet to take a pair of scissors to it.
Keep in mind tho, those of you who are corporate will no longer be protected by law, this will remain the style of the self-employed.

But there, too, no.

Dreads are dirty and smell bad. And will definitely give you negative associations in the eyes of many. Plus if you are white you probably will get hate in this day and age.

I get more compliments than otherwise.
No hate has been encountered.
I did almost get one tangled in a machine at work.
I am whitish, but I have, with rare exception, caught no flack from other races.
They were idiots.
They are nice in cold weather and you can wet them in the summer to keep cool.

Most of the dread-wearers I have been around will knock you over with the smell of patchouli oil before they get close enough to smell the dreads. What's up with that?
