To Dreads or not to Dreads

I have dreadlocks that hang to my ass.
I am debating whether to shear it or keep them.
The replies I receive in the next hour will make my decision.

Personally, I don't like the look of dreads in most cases. Of course, what you want to do with your hair is your own business.

No lizard or rat mohawks.
Mohawks are for dicks.
All or nothing.
Aslan and Sampson, or Lex Luthor.

Never had dreads... but always used to have long hair, until I decided to just shave it off a few years back.

Its so much easier, I'd never go back... plus, you gotta grow up eventually, right?

Pics of your dreads first. Some dreads are good looking but some dreads are nasty arse. Think how much lighter you'll feel, but think how naked you'll feel as well. I have a friend whose dreads drag on the ground and he is really tall, we also had a member of our parliament who had very long dread locks and when he road his bicycle to parliament (helmet law in our country) he would create a bike helmet with his dreads as no helmet would fit.
All I can say is once you cut them off they are off. Perhaps you could cut of the front ones and have a dread mullet. Oh I'm feeling anxious for you. Please post before and after pics if you make the off.

Keep them! I haven't had a hair cut since 2006, and I get nervous thinking about it.

Pigeons will be making soon in spring.

I did construction many years ago, hot Florida commercial construction that is. This one dude had dredds, and OMG they stunk so bad. We'd be up on ladders next to each other hanging materials together, and mofo all I could think about was grabbing him and practically drowning him in 5 gallon bucket of rubbing alcohol to sterilize that stink. LOL I haven't thought about this in forever. He actually an alright dude, I will add, but I still wanted to dunk him lol.

What do you look like with a bit of trimmed facial hair?
