As far as I'm concerned the Democrats are enemies of a free man or woman with this move.

It’s no use arguing with these people….The only way to succeed with some sanity is to vote out the republicans.

They are a danger to humanity.
They, the Taliban, Boko haram, Nazis are amongst the dregs of humanity and will be the cause of the destruction of civilization

They'll go down in flames with their guns and want to take the sane folks with them. They may succeed

It's messed up you don't want to listen to the people who are most knowledgeable and could help you come up with a solution that actually works and saves lives.

Blinded by fear they are.

I have not heard one proposal from the left that does not include stomping on the constitution. Not one. I all in favor of saving lives, but not at the cost of my right to defend myself and family and depend upon a governmental body that is tasked with investigating the crime after the fact.

It's like they think firearms are used exclusively for murder. For every firearm murder in the US there's several cases of DGU.

I guess my biggest question after we ban guns is what is next? Please submit the next big thing before we ban guns so we can become informed ahead of time. I’m thinking it will either be personal income so we have to scrape by on an allowance or maybe intelligence above a certain level, so we can’t not think for ourselves.

Anyone who votes against the BOR and the Constitution is an enemy of free men and women. The letter after their name can be a D, R, L, or I; doesn't matter when they vote for laws that are unconstitutional, un-American, open borders, and one world government. Any legislator who does so should be removed from office posthaste. We will never comply with any laws that are in conflict with our God given, natural rights.

House to house searches to round them all up.

The seconds already gone,

The rest will follow.

The other angle on this nobody is mentioning, is that if this somehow did pass gun manufacturers would have to completely redesign the most popular handguns to use a non-detachable magazine in order to comply with the law. That would raise the price of guns, which would even further price out the most vulnerable people in our society who need a self-defense gun the most, poor blacks that live in high-crime areas. Many already can't afford to get a gun because of all the ridiculous hoops they have to jump through.

Apology accepted. I respect your opinion.
thank you for saying that.

It’s not my intention to come in here and jump on everybody who believes in their right to have guns. I’m aware it’s not well received to be like that.

I’m trying to learn ....

But if you have to make it on an allowance, you couldn’t afford to buy or make a new gun. Or a pack of cigarettes. Or drink sodas larger than 16 ounces. Or afford internet to be mentally hacked by Russian social media bots...

I better keep quiet, this allowance thing solves all the Democrat morality police programs in one fell swoop. Better off just letting them execute anyone with a three digit IQ score.

In the zest and zeal to ban all guns, what about all the people that are employed to manufacture guns, ammo, scopes, bipods, range finders, lasers, grips, gun oil, repairs, salesmen, private small business owners, silencers, the list goes on and on.

In the zest and zeal to ban Heroin, what about all the people that are employed to manufacture Heroin, farmers, cartel members, dealers, mules, hit-men, smugglers, syringe manufacturers, the list goes on and on.

Ever wonder why people propose gun bans?

Because the GOP in the pocket of the NRA refuses to discuss any rational restrictions.

Why compromise if there is no compromise to be had?
Why negotiate if there is no one willing to negotiate?
Why deliberate if there is no one willing to deliberate?

The GOP can not one the one hand refuse to have rational discussions and on the other expect rational solutions.

After that post I am now in favor of your minimum intelligence proposal.

This is simply false. It must just be a coincidence that Democrats in gun-friendly states tend to vote with the GOP on a lot of gun bills. These people are beholden to their constituents, not the NRA.

And we are perfectly willing to compromise. There are improvements to be made to NICS that pretty much everyone is for. Everyone agrees the mental health aspect needs to be addressed. There is common ground. But this bill didn't propose that. Instead it proposed a blanket ban on all semi-auto handguns and most semi-auto rifles that won't even get complete support from Democrats. That's not a compromise.

They shoot themselves in the foot, pun intended, every time by proposing a completely over the top and absurd bill that can't even get moderate Democrats on board. They did the same thing after Sandy Hook.

ETA: At this point, I'm convinced they don't want to solve this. It's a valuable campaign and fundraising issue.

Drugs like Heroin aren't constitutionally protected.

Guns are.

No.

I thought it was stop bad people from getting guns by calling everyone guilty thus having to prove their innocence.

Because the GOP in the pocket of the NRA refuses to discuss any rational restrictions.

What a load of malarkey.

They simply can't understand the concept of our elected representatives voting the way their constituents want. After all, we're coming off an election where Democrat party leadership said # the voters and chose the candidate themselves.

Seems futile trying to educate those bent on being ignorant creeps...
Had these souls lived during the days where guns were used to secure our bill of rights; we'd have none?
It took guns to write those words on a parchment, and for them to have any meaning today,
Respect the gun, not the criminal element trying to infringe by use of msm narrated ff's.
