An Israeli F16 has been shot down in Syria by anti aircraft missiles after carrying out a bombing run on Iranian backed targets. Specifically UAV launch sites.

Both crew members are reportedly in hospital and Northern Israel has received fire from Syrian forces as alarms rang out

A major turn in events. Is SH@T about to get real
(Or more real than ever before)

Israel has directly blamed Iran and I quote “This is a serious Iranian attack on Israeli territory. Iran is dragging the region into an adventure in which it doesn’t know how it will end,” he said. “Whoever is responsible for this incident is the one who will pay the price.”
Israel’s chief military spokesman, Brigadier General Ronen Manelis

So what about the Israeli attack on Syrian territory. Netanyahu has called on Israelis enemies to not test the resolve of Israel.
Interesting side note an Iranian UAV entered Israel airspace.

If Israel would mind its own business, the planes won't get shot down. Same for the U.S..

What's in Syria that's worth dying for?

Yea exactly. Im sure it's because Iran are building a force/presence in Syria. Which in turn is right on Israelis door step.

Latest from IDF.

The IDF is striking numerous (12) Syrian and Iranian military targets in Syria, in response to Iranian aggression. More to follow

It's always someone else's actions that are wrong never their own , typical Israel.
So many proxy wars in Syria one is bound to spill over.

If you go around bombing another country or enemy you have to expect retaliation..

Now a big issue 1 Israeli plane was shot down and two pilots INJURED.. What about the thousands of innocents that die on the ground during these raids?

If you hit me with a stick I'm gonna hit you with a bigger one.. Simple as that..

Hang on, let me get this right. Israel attacks Iranian backed forces in Syria, Iran strikes back at the planes doing the bombing, and Israel makes it out to be Iran's fault and Iran are the bad guys and aggressors?
This defies logic, or am I just not understanding this correctly?

Israel has been bleating about "Iranian missile factories" and other Iranian nefarious plots from Syria for ages now, but has yet to show one iota of proof, which is par for the course when it comes from Israel. They are the chosen ones and their word is all we need..... or will ever get!

As for whining about an "incursion" into their territory by the alleged Iranian drone, how about we look at their almost daily overflights of Lebanon and firing missiles from Lebanese airspace into Syria?

It's Israel.
Leave all logic and free thought behind and follow only what the chosen ones, and their mouthpieces in the Western governments and press, tell us!

No no I believe your understanding is correct.

Obviously we don't know exactly what missions the Iranian UAVs were carrying out and how much it constituted to Israel. However in this instance without further information. It seems Israel are in the wrong.

All parties involved are GUILTY of something in this conflict. ALL parties involved USE their citizens, one way or the other. Some lie and cheat to get us to send our children off to fight a battle, for the same people who lie to them to get the money to go to war. Some use their people as shields or soldiers, while others think it is the will of their deity.
Whatever the reason, it is the people who get the suffering, while those in power are safe and profit..

If there's a GOD, let him sort the #s out...

First Israeli plane shot down since 1976. Looks like the natives are getting a bit of proper tech over there.

It depends what the Iranians were doing in the area, because they were probably not tourists. Iran are not innocent bystanders in their efforts to perpetuate conflict and mayhem, especially against Israel.

Israel has a history of taking out Iranian factories based in Syria and Lebanon that produce rockets to equip Hezbollah and Hamas. It's simply self defence. If you were surrounded by them you'd do the same.

I agree, it is the every day citizens who suffer. Those at the top giving the orders of death are never in the firing line and most every day citizens don't want a fight with anyone, they just want to live their lives and love their family in peace. Totally shameful.

The Iranian drone was weaponised according to Haaretz. Iranian no 2 last week spotted in Lebanese border assessing Israeli defences. Looks like Iran are hell bent on taking it to Israel proper. Does Israel become the ghetto fighter or take out Iran with Jericho before things get too close to home?

The Lebanese government have also sent out tender letters to several companies for oil and gas exploration in their territorial waters, despite all those resources belonging to Israel....apparently (according to them)!
