What the hell is happening at 41:56?

It looks like the green screen cuts for a second!

I'm not even implying that but that is just what it looks like.

Those two side rockets landing was so epic, the whole launch was amazing.

At 41:56 was a replay of when the fairing separated from the craft. The fairing is the shell inside which the Tesla payload was housed.

EDIT TO ADD SCREENSHOT:

Thanks mate, that makes sense!!

And the spaceman is not panicking...

I hope he remembered to bring a towel.

I read somewhere that in the glove box they put both a towel and a copy of the book.

No. The battery was only good for about 12 hours.

So no future photos? If not why not a few cameras and a couple of solar panels taking a few shots every couple of days
bit of a opportunity missed I think.

I was really hoping that it would keep broadcasting so we could see the car approaching Mars.

Just the earth slowly fading to a blue dot and then the red dot getting bigger would have been so cool.
Plus all the alien hitchhikers.

My guess is that there would be bandwidth issues with video streaming as ventured farther from Earth and closer to Mars, even if it still had power as it reached Mars.

Oh, I know. It would have been cool as hell though if they could have done it.

Will we actually get to see any of this "spectacular double landing" as the feed on the video you show conveniently cuts out? Perhaps they should site the cameras on a separate barge if the vibrations make them wobble so much and knock them lose and mess up the feed. That or they just could show the takeoff again but run it backwards.

It's lucky for Elon that there weren't any speed cameras up there, did you see that baby fly!

I love the idea of having a copy of HHGTHG and a towel. I wonder if the book will make the Martian top ten? Let's hope those Vogons don't get hold of it first, they do tend to be rather grumpy and their poetry is said to suck big time.

What a fantastic promotional advert for Tesla and a great way to add to all the space junk out there. Typical of us humans right? We're not happy with polluting our own planet, so we're going to projectile the stuff into space now. I'm sure the Martians will have something to say about that.

The double landing was on land, and was shown. The feed cut out on drone ship, which was for the center booster, which crashed near the drone ship after it ran out of fuel.

I don't know; there's a lot of competition for people's reading pleasure in space.

I mean, space is really big.

The USS Voyager detects traces of rust in space. Because the absence of oxygen in space prevents iron from rusting, Captain Janeway decides to follow the particle trail. They discover an ancient Earth automobile, a 1936 Ford truck, floating in space.
