I was flying home to Boston from Orlando pretty much exactly 24 hours before this, if a day later or him earlier I may have had a view from the plane! (probably not but wishful thinking)

Arghhh, I should have checked, I'd have posted it here instead of creating a thread!

I've just discovered a live feed, as in still transmitting to Earth, from Starmans' Tesla, and the views are stunning!

Holy macaroni sir,

Excellent find. I was mesmerised.

And the spaceman is not panicking...

I hope he remembered to bring a towel.

It looks like the inside of the fairing that was around the car. You can clearly see a vertical seam.

That was a replay of the fairing separation, and what you could see there was the inside of the fairing, as I mention in this post:

As much as I'd like to believe
I think it's just debris and space junk.

What an awesome event, I am so glad people like Elon Musk are taking up the challenge of Space exploration, the Van Allen belt may be interesting, if Space-X are going to go to Mars they will be taking data that should show how much radiation the belt gives off, might put an end to some of the moon hoax theories.

Don't Panic is not a meme, its from Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy.

What an awesome event to witness, and that simultaneous landing of the two strap on boosters was extremely impressive. If that had been part of an Olympic synchronised event, they would have won the gold medal by a light year!!

The only disappointment was the apparent failure of the first stage core to land on the floating barge.

I came here to comment about it but you just said everything. Thanks!

Really impressive landing. It's a new era for space exploration.

A lot of it is probably bits of ice sublimating into space from the surfaces of the car.

The fairing the Tesla was in is not pressurized, so it would have been subject to Florida's humidity, so there was most likely a thin amount of moisture on and in almost everything (it could be moisture that would have been imperceptible even if you looked and felt inside the car before launch).
