I can tell by their refusal to participate. Refusal to even stand for soldiers at the SOTU.

When was that? Please cite where in the state of the union that happened?

Or did you just hear about on fox news?

I'll be waiting for a citation. It would a new low if you invented it.

They didn't stand for anything.

They stood for every Honoree...Firefighters, Coast Guard, Police and the Medal of Honor recipient.

You LIE consistently without care or honor.

They play follow the leader. Keep verifying the same lies. But, it works. 39% of republicans believe every lie that suits their beliefs.

I don't know what you just posted, but I watched it... live. No Democrats stood. There was a wide shot of the entire chamber after the applause erupted and the whole Democratic side was seated.

I don't care if you get a million videos reworked. I saw what I saw. And so did the rest of the country watching.

TheRedneck

Reworked??...

WHITEHOUSE.GOV
TIME 1:20:30

ALL THE DEMOCRATS STAND.

The WHITEHOUSE reworked the video?????????

The meat is there. We have seen it long before it was revealed. The IG is investigating, and hopefully a special prosecutor will be assigned soon. More is coming. The memo is not the end, and is not intended to be all-encompassing. Be patient

Last week this was bigger than Watergate. Last week this shocked law makers to their core. Last week this was going to expose the corruption of the deep state.

Now it's just phase one.

Forgive me for laughing.

I hardly think the conspiracy against the United States (previously known as collusion) case has been dropped.

No doubt that some are just gullible.

But Red, Berger and Tex are the ones telling people they saw it.

Victims of propaganda are different than propagandists.

Most informants are deeply anti whomever they are informing on. Some even do it to get a sentence reduced or to get off on criminal charges. Informants don't have to like who they are informing on and that was never a consideration in the law. If the informant doesn't produce they don't get to play. That's what is required. Results.
It's plain silly to say this even matters.

Much as pains me, I'll have to agree with Sober on this. Staff Sgt Peck was given a standing ovation by both Parties.

I'm sure there were points where Dems didn't stand and Republicans did...that happens all the time.

One of the things I hate about SOTU addresses are the constant shout outs to ordinary citizens. It's cute when it's a little kid doing something great or similar of that. When its bringing up something traumatic, I just feel the people are used for whatever purpose of the speaker. You can see the pain on their faces. That stuff, I don't like.

That is a disgusting (and I mean that sincerely) LIE.

Whether you were told it or invented it, it is a lie.

See above.

I watched the SOTU. I saw their behavior myself.

I just want to point out that the slander of "liar" is replacing "racist" in the liberal vernacular. That is the smear du jour. You will call everyone a liar until it, too, is left meaningless.

ETA: When POTUS stated, "Preston's reverence for those who have served our Nation reminds us why we salute our flag, why we put our hands on our hearts for the pledge of allegiance, and why we proudly stand for the national anthem." it got a standing ovation by all but the #takeaseat folks. This young man was honoring the fallen veterans by placing flags on the graves of soldiers.

They did stand for the soldier. I was mistaken, and inserted the above memory in the wrong place.

That does not make their collective behavior look any less ridiculous.

Simply because something exists in your personal bubble does not mean it exists in reality. Lets see how important the Beast of Benghazi thinks this memo actually is - from today...

Down play the FB/DOJ/Clinton/Obama/DNC deceptive conduct all you like, what most are interested in is the truth - where ever that may lead. If Trump has deceived the world - hang the #. If Hillary has deceived the world - hang the #. If anyone below or beside or above either of them have deceived the world - hang the bastards.

I'm sorry. I clearly recall the shock and disgust I felt when they wouldn't stand for that soldier. I posted about it in real time, in the thread here, as did many others. I know what I saw, and no amount of later replays will make me believe otherwise.

If Donald Trump himself came out and said the Democrats stood during the SOTU speech for the soldier, I would call him a liar to his face. I saw what I saw, period.

I used the Cspan video of the SOTU speech to review it based on your statement. Perhaps you have their not standing for some other part of the speech remembered in its place?

There are always way too many applause lines in any SOTU speech for me.

To be honest, the ovation thing is stupid, too. Its pure pandering. I'd rather not mention it.

But if you point out that they acted like children in the audience, it doesn't really change anything. Pelosi looked like a cow chewing cud.

I think it bothers me because I am embarassed for them, acting like teenagers who are protesting the principle.

Agreed. Sotu speeches are not what they used to be half a century ago. Some of the ovation lines are designed to put the other party in an akward spot. Sometimes it works like when Trump touted the Black unemployment rate and they cut to some Congress members (Black of Course), just sitting there trying to look oblivious to the dig he just sank into them. I couldn't help but laugh.

More often than not, it's forced akwardness on both sides.

The worst is when both sides rise up and you know that one side is only giving tepid applause.

Nice try but they still use the collusion narrative and NOT conspiracy narrative. Secondly Mueller was directed to investigate collusion.

I was impressed with Trumps ability to keep a beat, though. His claps were a perfect rhythm. Someone should make a parody song about it. Someone, unlike me, with musical talent.

True. However there is one other thing that can be considered as well.

With the releasing of the memo, the investigation is botched, and ruined, and thus it makes no sense to keep all of the stuff on Cater Page hidden or classified. I say release it all, with no redactions, show the evidence, and thus if it is false, he goes free and innocent, but if he is guilty, then perhaps the lesson should be for all, not to jump to conclusions, as the evidence will show one way or another.

Again, nothing was revealed about Carter Page that was not already public knowledge. It has been in the news for months that he was under investigation.

Unless you mean that now that we know that the investigation was launched in the first place by illegal means, so they may have to throw out the case, then yes, things have changed now - for the better.

One of the three men dealing with Page went to jail, the other 2 had diplomatic immunity and went home. So they are not really worried. The one arrested, will be used to trade for a us spy that is caught in Russia. That is how the game works I believe, as both countries have done this dance time and time again.
