This isn't a huge deal like 2 FBI agents having a negative opinion of Trump... This is just an order by the president to obstruct justice. We prolly shouldn't even be talking about this.
Yah or like having the Deep State doing everything they can to cover their illegal asses while screwing the American public. That goes for slimy GOP too as they are currently doing s deal to do amnesty for RealID. I don't know how you feel about a national I'd but I feel it's a threat to privacy and liberty.

Here is a Fox News report. If their sources are accurate, the NYT badly misrepresented the meeting.

Fox News is told, however, that Trump did have conversations about firing Mueller – but it might not have amounted to an outright directive.

A source told Fox News that Trump did not tell White House Counsel Don McGahn to fire Mueller, but did discuss the possibility of doing so during a meeting with McGahn and others.

Trump asked McGahn if he would talk to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein (who has authority over the special counsel) about it, the source said.

McGahn, though, told the president in no uncertain terms that firing Mueller – the head of the probe into possible collusion by Trump associates with Moscow – would be a horrible idea and blow up in his face, the source said. Trump took McGahn’s advice and dropped active consideration of firing Mueller, though continued to reserve that as an option if Mueller’s Russia investigation took an inappropriate turn, Fox News is told.

Trump also told participants in the meeting that “I could fire Mueller if I want to -- I have the authority,” another source said. Fox News is told McGahn did not threaten to quit.

Another source close to the White House relayed a similar account, saying Trump told top officials this past June that he wanted to fire Mueller, but was talked out of doing so by McGahn and other aides.

The source added that then-White House chief of staff Reince Priebus and chief strategist Steven Bannon also believed last summer that Trump would fire Mueller and were worried about the political fallout.

What's that saying? A half-truth is a full lie.

It appears Trump supporters are exactly as stupid as he thinks they are. This level of stupidity... is it historic level? It feels like an unprecedented amount of bullsh*t that his supporters are willing to swallow. It’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen in my life.

Sean Hannity Suggested Story of Trump Trying to Fire Mueller Was False—Moments Later He Admitted It Was True
Newsweek

FOX/right wing/Trump supporters are so corrupted by their own lies... They live on lies and deny truth whenever possible. It's so pathetic.

this is interesting, but not a big deal as far as I can see.

I think firing him would have been a huge mistake.

But he listened to his counsel, and didnt, so although this is an interesting tidbit, not a big deal to me.

Whats your opinion on why Trump would WANT to fire Mueller though? Do you believe one of his explanations?

Trump supporters go back and forth between saying it's okay that Trump ordered Mueller be fired, to denying it ever happened... their moral compass broken and bent to whichever lie the right wing commits to.

Trump and all of his supporters.... Such phonies. It's like they've all been taught over the last decade by their faux news how to lie and deny and spin bullsh*t endlessly, and now it's become their dumb reality. Meanwhile the whole world sees them as epic dumbsh*ts.

I don't know how they live with themselves.

My moral compass isn't broken. I just don't live and breathe politics. My life isn't in D.C. I love in one of the flyover states. I know my portfolio looking better now than at any point in the past 16 years. I don't watch the news anymore and what I do hear, I take with a grain of salt. My question is what has Trump done to hurt America? Things seem perfectly fine to me. If you want to attack his character that's one thing but which policies do you dislike and why?

No I dont really buy his explanations. He probably didnt want mueller cause mueller and comey are chums, and mueller used to run the fbi.

Reports are that admiral rogers told trump the Obama had the intel community wiretap his people. Hell even schumer publicly said that the intel community would find a way to get back at trump.

And as we are seeing from the strzok texts, Trump had a good reason not to trust members of the FBI, seeing as how they admitted going not going after Hillary hard in their investigation because she may be President.

But again, he didnt fire Mueller, there are no reports he threatened Mueller to his face that he was going to fire him, so this is a non issue.

What the MSM and the left just don’t get is that they have been lieing to us so long now that we just aren’t buying it anymore. It’s the sky is falling syndrome. Heck they could tell me that is is snowing in Alaska in January and I’d have to go check.

The fools have finally over played their strategy and don’t even realize it.

LOL

Hey thanks for responding. If I may: Why wouldn't Trump just say as much as you've pontificated about Mueller being friends with Comey rather than the myriad other excuses? What reason in your opinion would he have for dancing all over the place with his explanations?

Nothing wrong with my moral compass. To me, the important thing is Trump relented after his advisers pointed out how bad a move it would be. I'm concerned about if Trump broke the law. Whether or not Trump hurt your feelings does not interest me.

How many Trump supporters/voters on a daily basis do you remind are dumb#s? Just curious. Because the 'world' is watching the US and hanging on the 240 characters churned out each day by the POTUS.

I don't understand the phony part either. Phony about what? Telling it like it is and not sugarcoating it.

right wing? If you think Trump is right wing you have not been paying attention.

Trump might of thought about doing something in June, last year. Didn't do it and today it's important news.

Muller wasn't fired.

Desperate attempt to go after the obstruction of justice case because apparently everything else is falling apart.

What's next?

Four people familiar with the matter claim Trump did something bad in 1987.

Stay tuned for the developing story!

Because he would have been lambasted for "attacking the intel community".

Even for journalist and others to question the fisa warrant, losing texts, and the content of those texts has led to people saying how dangerous it is because it smears the fbi.

So had Trump called out muellers connection to it, he would have gotten that reaction tenfold. And to say about a connection to comey would have made people yell obstruction with comey even harder.

The fact is we dont even know what the president said at this point, its all rumor.

But again, thinking about firing someone and then not doing isnt even close to a crime.
