Tell that Mr. Executive Order Trump who funny enough, also criticized Obama for his EO's and then turns around doing the same thing, which is odd since the GOP controls the gov't. So even with his fellow Republicans this so called deal maker can't get anything done without issuing an EO.

Nice dodge.

DACA was never meant to be Amnesty, nor a Path to
Citizenship. Even Obama said so. Trump can not
Fix Obama's bad decisions.

Now the Dem's are so desperate they need
the DACA votes, it's not that they care about
them. It's all Dem Demagoguery, and they know it.

Why do you want to see those people who for all intents and purposes are americans just dumped? They were raised here from childhood. through elementary schools, university, military service to productive worker. Those are the rules. They're not in trouble with the law or receiving social services. These people who were brought here without a choice and don't know anythingé about the country of their birth..why would you want to just dump them in an unfamiliar place ? Most of America is for their legalization not deportation.
Just wondering why you're not.

No one wants to see them dumped. In fact, most, including GOPers, want to expand the definition of a Dreamer in order to save more of them that are currently in the US.

What the GOP does NOT want is to have to do this all again in a few years so the GOP wants an end to chain migration which, if ended, would prevent a good bit of the problem in the future.

The other thing they don’t want is DACA tied to opening the government back up. DACA needs to be its own bill, very specific, to prevent the continuous flow of illegal immigrants into the US. The Dems don’t want this, of course, as they want illegal immigration to continue unabated so they don’t lose a big chunk of their voting base.

The real question should be why the Dems are afraid to discuss DACA separate from opening the government? Well that and why they won’t vote yes on a bill that gives them all things they asked for and nothing they’re against?

Isn't authoritarianism great?

No.
Why would the Democrats make this happen?

Is the OP a democrat? I was referring to what he wants to do.

The OP proposed it as possible because of the government shutdown.
I guess you didn't get that.

Proof DACA was just a ruse.
Obama had years of Democrat majority,
If he honestly cared he could have had
them introduce viable legislation. But noooo
he followed the Alinsky playbook.

I bet they don't.

I think the majority of Rebublicans actually care,
not like the Dems who are just looking for a
bargaining chip down the line.

I agree it was our bad not to of fixed this in the past so we wouldn't have this situation in the first place. You see those "politicians" on both sides did not want to touch this with a 10 foot pole, until Trump came along. For the career politician there are too many Latino voters with close ties to the mother country to really fix this right.

So here we are...Trump said give me the wall and I'll give you DACA, Congress said lets put DACA aside and we will give you funding for SIX years of CHIP.

And still no deal...

Member this?

The problem is Congress does work for the President. Trump did provide a deal and the Dems balked on it...what else you going to do if one side's plan all along was to shut down the government.

No. The OP did not say it was possible. They stated what the president could do and their approval for such actions.

The title of the thread is, literally, "Time to weaponize the Democratic Schumer Shutdown".

That doesn't sound like discussing possibilities to me.

Because the Dems were handed no less than four things they specifically asked for and nothing they didn’t want...and then voted no for the items they specifically asked for...

There is zero reason not to work out DACA separately, especially since there are literally months before any deportations of Dreamers could happen.

The Dems just don’t want chain migration to end...and thus lose a huge part of their base...

Sigh
You are wrong again( don't you ever get tired of being wrong?).
Punctuation marks are not displayed in the title of the OP. So a question mark would not be displayed.

They arent americans. Thats th eproblem. if they wanted to assimilate they would had by now.The only path to citizenship they should have is by working as military employees. Also a MAJORITY of them are not children and are adults. Obama only broight in 800,000, but th ereal numbers are in the millions range. A perfect voting block for th edemocrats. Why? th ebirth rate of Black americans is below sustainability for that ethnic group. they need a new class of sheep to use.

If they don't include it now it will be dropped in the future. It's another accomplishment of Obama's that trump needs to undo to feel safe in his manhood. So they won't ever include it. It's now or never. What's the problem when they gave him money for the stupid wall?
Because he has no intentions of ever addressing it.
