Hey anyone going to watch this one?

I just want to see the fight of Ngannou vs Miocic.

If you don't know Miocic is the defending heavyweight champ, Ngannou is the guy coming up through the rank knocking mofos out with brutal power, massive hype train with all that.

Think Ngannou is 263
Miocic might be like 247, not sure off the top of my head but I know Ngannou is bigger.

Stipe Miocic

vs

Francis Ngannou

Poor Alister Ovreem....

Who do you think will win, who do you want to win?

I'm torn, I like Stipe, but I like Francis.

I mean the way he punched Alisters face off.

Stipe for the win.
Easy pick, IMO.

I'm betting on the Honky.

I’ll watch and pay for it.

Stipe is kinda your ‘everyman’...but he’s super athletic — to the degree that he’ll cut angles and shrink the punching radius that makes Ngannou so dangerous. I see Ngannou knocking him out, but he’s going have to be the better athlete than Stipe to do it. If he’s not, Stipe takes him into the 3rd and 4th and pieces him up ending in a TKO.

The DC - Ozdemir Fight is compelling. I think we might see the first glimpse of the proverbial cliff for DC, sadly. He still wrestle-boxes him and puts him on his back and gets the submission, but I wouldn’t be surprised if that hammer of a right hand of Ozdemir doesn’t put DC on stanky-leg Street.

Have never and will never pay to see a fight.
I'll wait to see the replays for free.

Ngounnou has incredible reach and speed.
Miocic has incredible speed and knockout power at close range.
He has to charge through and make it a short-range fight.
If he tries to make it a long-stroker he will get smoked.
Interesting match-up.
I've got a 20 on Miocic in the first round.

Man that Ngannou fella is an absolute beast and behemoth. But Stipe has taken down larger foes than himself on several occasions. Plus when he does it, he makes it look like its an effortless take down more often than not.

I will say that this is going to be one that cannot be called. Im going with challenger if I had to place a bet though, which I just may. Shall we bet 1/100 of a Bitcoin??

Francis is the hardest puncher on the planet, but if Stipe can avoid that punch for 3 rounds it's an easy win for him. 👊🏻

Stipe hardly ever takes people down.
this is a terrible fight for Stipe.
Francis has this

Stipe for the win, he will use his deep history of wrestling to bring Francis down to the ground. Though I could be wrong.

I agree that this is likely the cliff for DC but again he put up a good fight against Jones so I'm not counting him out just yet.

He's a great commentator BTW.

No Cormier vs Volkan love? I want & expect DC to win but I have a slight feeling that Volkan can make it interesting. Most likely: DC by unanimous decision, 4 rounds to 1 (though I wouldn't be surprised if Volkan sleeps him in the first I'd blame Jon Jones).

Stipe's well rounded, battle tested, and is a deserving champion. He seems like the smart money. However, Ngannou's only loss was in his second ever fight, back when he was still in a small mma organization in France. Everyone talks about Ngannou's punching power, but he's also got 4 submission victories, all of which were different submission holds. In other words, Ngannou's way more versatile than people are being led to believe.

Therefore I pick..... I don't know lol. Stipe's unbelievably boring (not his fighting but his personality), so I find it hard to root for him. At least Ngannou seems like he'd embrace the limelight and try to be a star. But Stipe's also a deserving champ, meaning that he should never be underestimated in a title fight. Crap... Screw it, Ngannou wins in the 3rd round by tko, rear naked choke, or doctor's stoppage in controversial fashion.

i think people are gonna be surprised when Francis puts the hurt on him.

i have been having a hard time getting into a lot of the fights lately. i much prefer to watch the submission only jiu jitsu like EBI and Polaris. now Eddie is putting out combat jiu jitsu(open hand strikes on the ground like Pancrase)

i am excited to see Conor vs Tony Ferguson. i think that one will surprise people too when Tony gets Conor to the ground and #s him up.

But do you realistically see Conor fighting Ferguson? I can't see him taking that fight at all. Conor's amazing in the first 7 minutes, while Ferguson typically sucks in the first round. That would be Conor's only path to victory, in my eyes. But anything longer than that and Tony would completely humiliate Conor worse than Nate did in their first fight.

And don't think i didn't notice you looking past Khabib lol. I'm still torn on who'll win between Khabib & Ferg, but it's no gimme fight for either one of them.

Didn't look past khabib. I want to see conor vs Tony cause I'm a 10th planet fan boy. Conor has a shot at beating Tony though I don't think he will. He has zero chance against khabib and I think his crew would advise against that. He can pull some # on Dana and say Tony or # off and Dana will do it.

How anyone would look past Khabib is a bit perplexing...to the point it was recently announced El Cucuy is slated to fight The Eagle at UFC 223.

Back on topic, I really like Stipe and give him a ton of credit for taking on all-comers, but it’s not a ‘good’ fight for anyone — not just for Stipe — and we’re most likely to see his consciousness being removed from his body tonight. As I said earlier, if he manages to pot-shot Francisc and cut clean angles for the first 10-12 mins, he will be able to eat those shots in the 3rd and 4th and Francis will be in over his head. Allegedly, Francis cuts to get to 265...that muscle mass will likely lead to a brutal KO, but if it goes past the midway pt of the 3rd it will be the reason Stipe pounds him out in the 4th/5th.

Back on the T-Ferg - Khabib fight, I truly believe Tony can defend 3/4s of Khabib’s takedowns and I don’t care who you are, El Cucuy can sleep you with his d’arce, so I lean towards Tony in that match-up (I fully recognize that isn’t a ‘popular’ take but it’s mine and I’m sticking to it).

Ah, I thought you were saying that Tony would automatically get past Khabib in their incoming fight. I've been impatiently waiting for that fight to finally happen because it may be the most anticipated Sambo vs BJJ fight since Fedor vs Werdum (which shouldn't count since Fedor didn't use any Sambo whatsoever). However, they're so evenly matched on the ground that I wouldn't be surprised if it ended up a boring standup fight where they neutralize each other's ground game.

As for Khabib v Conor, the destruction would begin the second Khabib gets a takedown. But Khabib has a tendency to strike before going for his takedowns, which would be Conor's only chance at winning. Then again, Barboza's a much better overall striker than Conor yet Khabib walked right through him.

Hmmm, I'm actually thinking that Conor and GSP will either fight at 170lbs or we'll see Conor vs Nate 3. I just don't believe that Conor will fight Khabib or Ferguson.

If Stipe can get it to the later rounds I think he can win but Stipe also takes a lot of shots in all of his fight and you can't do that with Francis. I'm pulling for Stipe but I think Francis will get an early KO. Maybe Stipe has a good gameplan?

I think Conor would crush Ferguson but would struggle against Khabib. The guy mauls you to death. If I was Conor I'd let them fight it out and pray Ferguson wins and if he loses fight Nate or GSP
