Greetings from the trail of fail.

Yesterday i was hanging out with friends, we drank beer and wine. Then when i was making my way back home, i fell, hard. Broke a few ribs. Inhaling is super painful but kinda hard to avoid. Haven't slept much.

Sorry to read about your fall Fin. That must be awfully painful 😕. Is there anything you can do to speed up the healing process?
Wishing you a quick recovery!!!

Happened to me too a few years ago. Ibuprofen will make it easier to bear. Don't exceed the dosage though. They are not the best for you health when drinking either but it should take the raw edge off the pain. Paracetamol do nothing in my experience at least.

Well i have been told that smoker's bones heal slower, so i could try to cut back. I am not sure if this is anything compared to what some people here at the shed have to go through, but i don't have any tolerance for physical pain. I can handle all kinds of mental dilemmas but physical pain just makes me want to whine.

Whine away... that’s what we’re here for. Physical pain can be very tough to live with.

Ibuprofen almost kills me man
It causes me to vomit, sweat, shake and fear of death. Trying to deal with this with paracetamol.

But i feel a bit better already due to you, fine people, cheering me up with nice posts. Having strong coffee now, i heard that caffeine can ease the pain also.

Hello Everyone!

Fin, Fin, Fin, what am I going to do with you? I will have to have the pixies and faeries watch over you as you mend. I think the next time you decide to go out, you should take one of us with you.

Get in the ward with the Fin so they can look after you too. I usually fall up, not down. LOL

Yeah, i would gladly go out with all of you. And make the weather gods turn the spring-mode on, since real winters seem to be gone.

I have joined your and meathead's spring-waiting-gang.

I am a bit nervous. My friend sold me a 5 litre container of wine. That is 2.5 gallons. And ALL of it is in my kitchen floor, i drank zero glasses. How is that even possible? I threw an ancient towel under my feet and dragged myself around, i can't crouch. And me being a neurotic me, i am worried that the wine goes somewhere where there should be no moisture. Friend said he could come and clean it up after work, i think i will have to accept his helpful offer.

Fin, what are you doing? All over the floor? I wouldn't move too much in your state so yes, let your friend come and help.

Dunno how it works in Finland but 1 gallon is around 4 litres.

I concur with what Light said. Fin, let your friend help you.

Uh, ok. Sorry. I used some online converter and obviously failed.

The pain is at tolerable level now. Inhaling feels ok. Thanks to all for keeping me company earlier here, i was not ok.

Hello Sir Dave of the Shedlands! How have you been? I'm still half asleep so I'll be sitting here quietly in the corner hanging out with the Shed cats and looking out the window

Spirit Cat card reading of the day...

Freedom

Meet Lucy. She is awake even in her dreams. One of her favorite things to do is fly in a lucid dream. It is the most natural, free and expansive feeling. You can go to outer space, imaginary lands, deep under the sea, the top of Mount Everest, even through the earth itself - propelled simply by the power of your mind and your will.

This little kitty is calling you to embrace that unbound freedom of flight and dreams. What is your wildest dream, Your craziest, most heart expanding, joy filled plan A? If you were completely free, what would you do?
