Alright, everyone raise your glass. I don't care if it's a glass of booze, coffee, tea, water or whatever. I'd like to make a toast. To the Shed and the most amazing people who live here in this wondrous realm and in real life.

I knew it!

A fellow merlot lover!

I also have a hand blown goblet from a very dear old friend who is an artisan glass blower(shout out Derrick! I know you won't see this. But still..lol).sadly it hasn't seen much use in the past few years..it sits lonely in the China cabinet longing for the glory days of yesteryear...

Respectfully,
~meathead

Oh that was so sweet! I miss when my Great nephew lived in the apartment on the fist floor. When I went through my cancer, he was always there to make me smile and laugh. I have a number of great nephews and nieces, but don't get to see them much.

To the Shed,
May your rafters hold true and your foundation strong!
May the days be as joyous as they are long,
May our dreams come true and our story's live on,
May we laugh and smile while the bards sing our song!!

Cheers!

Wowser. You had cancer? I never knew that. If you don't mind me asking, what kind of cancer? It's a subject that is dear to my heart due to .... people I have lost. My Nan, Dad, ex, brother and a friend all had it and did not survive to tell the tale.

I'll send you some by dragon mail. Make sure your neighbors don't shoot at him!

Shattered neck vertebrae? OW!

I have spinal stenosis, arthritis and other things going on, nerve damage etc. I was once hit by a mini van as a pedestrian and that didn't help things...at all! But even through chronic pain, I can smile and laugh and sparkle. LOL Unless it's really bad and then I just cry.

I would love to hear everyone's voices in here. That would be so cool! Sorry, just a random thought and I went with it. Oh Lord, I only had a small glass of wine so far. And I have to smoke my medicinal weed, so I can't be held responsible for anything weird I might come out with. Just don't leave me unsupervised.

I’ve often wondered how people on here sound as well. Gordie, I have heard ...as well as Tom, but I am curious about others.

I just had a dose of medicinal marijuana, and am feeling relaxed. I just may go to bed by 11 tonight 😏.
Maybe I should have a peppermint tea with some peppermint schnapps in it. Might wake me up.

Then again maybe I won’t and just call it a day.
Ok.. I’m boring myself silly writing this post.. I hope you don’t fall asleep reading it.

* throws jujubes out into bushes for lurkers * 🤷🏻‍♀️ (Some complained about the donuts)

(Sighs) ... maybe I should go play a few hands of poker, that might wake me up.

Beautiful toast Night... I missed it while I was writing my post.

That was also a lovely poem in response by meathead.

Delightful !

OMG, I love hand blown glass! Love stained glass too.

Joe, you must use the goblet! Put water in it or juice if you don't want wine. But...you must use it.
You know most people have some beautiful things and they are put away being ignored. You only live once. I use fine china and crystal if I feel like it.

I have hand blown glass balls (DDIG) and a hand blown mermaid

Hey guys, I'm slow and getting behind. Bahaha!

Whoah! Joe and Night Star!

You two are eloquent! i admire that skill.

Can you teach me how to change font color? I will log out soon and make my way back home. Writing is a method of self-therapy for me. I have been suffering from severe writer's block, but i will try today and if i come up with something that i want to share, i want to differentiate it from regular post with color, just as you do sometimes.

Sounds Like the medicine is doing it's job..don't fight it, get some rest..

Every time I fight off the sleep I end up spending half the night wishing I didn't..

I won't go into the details of how it happened but if I place my fingers at a certain place on the back of my neck and move my head up and down I can feel something grating. I will go to a Doctor when circumstances allow (it is not a recent injury) I will get them to check it out (X-ray?) but you can't do much about a powdered vertebrae I reckon. At least I didn't cut my spinal cord! Maybe?

If you use the desk top version ..above the box you type your post in there is a small box which by default says black.. click that and pick a color..you will be prompted to enter text. Anything you type or copy paste in that box will come up the color you chose..

I know that sounded confusing I'm Sry ..

If only you could see like five of your posts through my eyes, through my mind. Then you would not downplay yourself. I don't know if someone has told you you can't write, or if you have told that to yourself, but know this, there is a dude in Finland who finds calm comfort from your writings here.

Back in 2011 to 2012 I was treated for two kinds of breast cancer in the same breast! I was like What? Anyway, I went through the traditional route of chemo and radiation. It was stage 4. The Doctor after confirming the diagnosis asked if I had any questions. I said "yeah, am I gonna die?" He said, "no we aren't planning on it."

I was lucky and got away with just a lumpectomy and no removal of the breast.

It was scary and like I was living someone else's life, but it was mine. That's why I always say that people don't know how strong they are until they have to be. I handled it with bravery and laughter and many heart breaking tears wondering if I would live to see another day. I had a lot of support at home and here on ATS. I made a thread back then about it.

ATS really is like an extended family. Real people with beautiful hearts. I am eternally grateful

I am so sorry for your losses! I too have lost people to the dreaded disease. Hugs!

Oh dear. Voices. I've heard my voice on "tape" a few times and I hate it. To my ears I sound like a more than stupid deficient neanderthal that speaks way too low. It sounds shameful to my ears. I do not like it. It's a good deterrent though. I never talk to myself except in my head.
