luke wasnt dying. great jedi just become force ghost/evolve

He's dead. Going from the other movies nobody is left except Rey and Kylo that could ever see his ghost because he trained them. The rest of the universe has a story where coward Luke hologram failed to stop Supreme Leader Kylo and nobody will ever hope for fail Luke to save the day ever again when they hear that story.

All can think of after watching the last Jedi is lazy writing and plot holes.

Casual fans probably enjoyed it but if you know anything about the theme of star wars this movie is a joke. Luke is a coward? Really? Fail fail fail

Cam save Vader but a lil dark side in kilo nope he gotta die. Fail

I agree with everything except the Snoke/Phasma stuff..

Those were hyped by fan speculation more than the movie hyping them for nothing..

I loved it. My only complaint is Ray should have joined Ren to create a new authoritarian evil galactic empire and then the liberals would hated the movie too!

Instead of the new way of thinking about the force, they returned to the old way of dividing the force according to partisan light lines. Who does the force serve? Does the force serve life or does life serve the force through galactic Empire?

Fellowship or leadership? Jedi council or First Order.

"A regime that acquiescence to disorder"

"All remaining systems will BOW to the first order"

I pointed this out on another thread.

They had to kill off the last of the white patriarchy. Only Monsanto is more evil than Disney. Next up: a trans-gendered wookie.

Sorry I can't resist, that's one way to stuff a wookie.

Gross some like it hairy.

What did you all expect, Lucas Art's fowled the series up with the prequel's turning it into a joke then Disney took over and this is the outcome.
I still have my doubts as to how much of the original star wars script that Lucas actually wrote himself because the very first Episode IV was a masterpiece which has never been bettered, empire strikes back was cool but Return introduced teddy bears as alien tribal people and just crapped all over it so even the Lucas had gone all movie tie in toy crazy and now Disney have done exactly the same, a film to sell spin off's merchandising.

If you want real star wars then go back to Episode IV and let your imagination write it from there the way it should have been, of course there were great scenes on the other two, "I am your father Luke" etc.
But in the word's of Mark Hamill "NO!" to the prequel's and this new series of movies.

Don't get me wrong they are good film's in there own right but they just took something legendary and trashed it.

I thought it was great... Going into it knowing it wasn't going to hold up to the original.

I couldn't agree more.
They made a movie with more thought put into political messages that quality plot.

Huge plot holes.
Wasted characters.
Stupid humor.
Obvious toy placements.

The Star Wars franchise tag is the only reason this one hasn't flopped.
That might not be enough for the next film.

Definitely has its flaws but triggering people because it has black and asian actors is not one of them

That's a good thing

Oh my word. The mono-ethnic-andro fragility is strong in this one. I'm talking about you, op.

Lando wasn't the only black person long ago nor was Leah the only woman in a galaxy far far away.

Maybe the movie was just what it was, with people doing space things?

It's getting to the point where artists can't have their own opinions...

I saw a great movie with good acting.

But then again I don't expect the world to think just like me. I also am not bothered by political art. Unless it sucks.

To the whiners go make your own film with your own political social bias

.

My main issue with it was the humor, just a little on the thick side at times. Do I expect it to be 100% serious, no, but they could have toned that down a bit. I expect the humor to come in the upcoming Han Solo movie, it'll at least be warranted then because Solo was always a bit of a smartass.

Currently sitting at 53% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes

By far the worst Star Wars movie ever made. All the plot points from the previous film thrown out the window for bad comedy and SJW garbage.

Dude, it's so disappointing. What happened to the Knights of Ren? Who the hell is Snoke? Where are the training montages? WHERES THE DAMN LIGHTSABER FIGHTS!?

They ruined the 3 main characters. Totally killed Rey's backstory, Kylo had no character development from the previous movie and even Mark Hamill said he didn't feel like he was playing Luke Skywalker. What were they thinking?
