well, another theory of mine is that the byproduct of strain on a system is water. we've got too much water and too much salt in our oceans now that's causing our earth to seriously malfunction, on top of the super hyper energy levels of the sun. reason why the gulf stream is near blinking out and the jet stream collapsing over the states. goes hand in hand with rocks, since that's where our salts come from is when water washes over the rocks back into the oceans. ions and all that. probably a change in direction from the geological record, but that should be self explanatory that catastrophism is real and not this evolutionary slow system that hardly ever changes model that most believe today.

just pay attention to what I already wrote and you'd do pretty well. again, there's lots of scenarios to choose from:

going through the center of the galactic plane

sun going super nova

earth going into another ice age

more, but we can start there again.

The answer is you cannot since the arrow of time only moves in one direction; towards a low energy, homogenous state.

What is time really? Does time actually move, or does it only appear that way? I mean we are in the skunk works forum, we could take this to a meta-physical realm.

How do we know anything we've learned is real? We could live in a simulation for all we know.
