There are reports (unconfirmed so far) that Flynn told the FBI he was directed by Trump, during the campaign, to make contact with the Russians.

Again an action that is not illegal and all depending on the reasons for the outreach.

Lifting sanctions is the carrot dangling in front of Putin and Russia to try to get them moving in a direction Trump wants.

That the sanctions are still in place says Putin is not biting, so the stick/sanctions are still in place.

The entire administration is full of #. The obvious pattern is that they lie until the lies cannot be sustained any longer.

Name one administration in modern history where this is NOT the case...

Politics is all about appearance, that's how the show goes. I'm not excusing it, but Trump's administration has done what all administrations do. That's a fact.

So the rumor is Flynn said Trump directed him to contact Russia. What's being reported was actually said in court was that "senior transition officials" directed him to contact Russia.
