Please explain how gravitational acceleration works with a Flat Earth.

Gravitational force can be expressed a F = G (M1 * M2 / r^2).

Gravitational acceleration average at sea level here on Earth is 9.81 meters squared.

However, if you climb a mountain and measure it (and it can be measured with a gravity meter), and your meter is sensitive enough, that value will change and become less the higher you go.

It will also become less the further south one travels until they get to the equator, where it will be it's lowest (because the Earth is not a perfect sphere, but bulges slightly at the equator).

In both instances, the laws of gravity says this is because your (or rather the gravity meter)'s mass is further away from the Earth's core (IE r^2 the distance is increasing).

Interestingly enough, if you continue south, away from the equator, the gravitational amount will increase.

The Earth being a spheroid shape with a core explains this nicely.

I've yet to see ANY explanation of why this would work with a Flat Earth.

Please explain.

I already did all that , if you check ATS posts about the image of Earth taken from Mars , you can read about it on ATS .

I am talking to more than one person so , I don't have the time to search the thread at the moment .

I have been writing code since 1970's I begun with fortran , Cobol and Basic .
