Anglo-Saxons didn't even exist in Ancient Egyptian times.

Do you know how many ethnic groups there are in Africa? They number in the thousands. Each with their own customs and cultural traditions.

The animosty between many of these ethnic groups has been the driving factor between most African conflicts of the 20th & 21st centuries. The Congolese Civil War and the Rwandan Civil War being particularly notable examples.

Are you going to say the Coptic people of Egypt and Sudan looked indistinguishable from say, the Shona of Zimbabwe? That is a most racist viewpoint.

A number of different reasons. Some (Greeks, Romans, others) bleached their hair. Sometimes (possibly Ramesses II) this was due to the chemicals present in mummification/the environment. And sometimes they had red or blond hair.

Nope. I'm saying that they were olive skinned Caucasian types. Not Sub-Saharan types. I suspect that if you lined them up in a police lineup, you'd find a whole range of skin tones.

Art is not a reliable indicator. They used red for men and yellow for women, regardless of actual skin tone. They painted the Nubians black - in scenes where the Nubians were enemies. In scenes where the Nubians were their rulers (e.g., Taharqua) they painted the ruler with red skin (see copy of wall painting of Taharqua and his queen here)

None of the above conditions excludes him from being Caucasiod (or Asian or African, for that matter.)

If you would have watched the video that I left, you would have heard why. In some articles the mummies are said to have blue eyes (genetic testing).

I know huh. I wish I could find the doc about US tour of Egyptian artifacts. The one city they arrived in administrators wanted to show off the Liberty Bell. The real one looks nothing like the one on display, its a horrible looking lump of misfigured bronze. They carted it out to impress the egyptian curators and they stood there staring at it like wtF is that?

I was cracking up, the craftsmanship of Egyptian antiquities so outshines even what we are capable of today. Except maybe for our weapons systems and hi tech destructive capability, we are amateurs comparatively.

That are your opinions opinions on Howard Carter not mine at all, I still respect him as Archaelogist, now in the rest of your reply we certainly coincide a lot.

Again, here the claim is not that Tutankamen was of a particular ethnical group that can be easily found in America, it is more that his aspect definitively shocks with the idea of to be blond, Germanic, or Celtic, or Anglo-Saxon, or Slavic look.

I don't have nothing against the people of that are background, they have their cultural past, they can claim to descent from who made stone henge or painted the caves of Altamira or Lascaux, but about their supposed connection with Egypt is ridicule topic.

Tutankhamen civilization can not be claimed to be a White one, he ruled over part of Africa and his people were part of the human diversity of that continent.


Have you already noticed how dark is the skin of the mummy after it was unwrapped by the scientists? That color does not give to much margin for speculations, it is more eloquent than DNA tests.

Yes, be was treated with embalming substances, but until what point you can take a nordic look corpse and get such mummy is really difficult task.

I trust more the idea that he was similar in color to the great dark skinned Anwar El Sadat of Nilotic ebony race and not the androgynous pale being created artistically but artifitially in the computer simulations posted in some of the replies.

Nilotic dark skinned race is the one originally aborigine of Egypt, it existed there before anything else arrived from abroad.

If Sadat would be still alive probably would laugh of some of the replies trying to maintain foreign stereotypes over what it is genuinely and authentically Egyptian.

Maybe take a science course where you could learn why Egyptian mummies appear black when unwrapped. It's because the bodies were coated in bitumen amongst other things. A modern day application of its use is as a binding agent in asphalt and why asphalt too is black.

Nah. There’s no way that could colour someone’s skin if they’ve been coated in it for a couple thousand years.
